Beautiful location feels secluded while still being close to town. Very responsive communication. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our thanksgiving meal. Would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Barndominium, it's a quiet neighborhood just outside of the hustle and bustle of Durango. Pretty views out of all of the windows and a few curious deer kept us company as we ate on the patio.

We had a great time in Durango and the barndominium turned out to be a good choice for us. We would highly recommend the barndominium for future vacationers.

We are a super picky family that only stay at premium homes.. This is by far the best home we have ever stayed at!!! The home is so beautiful! New, very clean and fully stocked. With so much to do in town we made sure we took the time to enjoy ourselves at the house. Relaxing on the patio and soaking up natures smell & sounds. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Durango!

We had a wonderful time in Durango. The location is perfect and glad we had 4 wheel drive to access the snow covered road leading up to the property. It is secluded and the drive to it looks like a winter wonderland . The barndo was cozy but had plenty of room. The only thing missing is a hot tub.

Beautiful setting among pine trees. Very large master bedroom and bathroom on first floor. Third bathroom in first floor. Second floor has two nice bedrooms and bathroom. Lots of windows everywhere to see the outside view. Patio are has table and several chairs Nice kitchen area with all accessories you need. Easy check in and check out. Love this property.

The place was nice but there was no AC. Interior temp was regularly around 84 degrees. A couple cheap box fans were provided but made little difference. Nowhere to go on walks near the house since private property is 15 feet away. The place was very clean and the inside was wonderful. About a 15 minute drive to downtown.

Beautiful and spacious home set on a mountain surrounded by trees, natural flowers and grasses, and wildlife. Many mornings while drinking my coffee looking out the patio windows I was able to view deers, bunnies and other wildlife. Located in a great location, we enjoyed the town of Durango and riding the train. In addition we were within 40 minutes of Mesa Verde, an hour to Pagosa Springs, as well as 1-2 hours to traverse the roads to Silverton, the million dollar highway to Ouray, and the beautiful town of Telluride. Hiking trails are abundant. We also spent one day visiting Arches National Park in Utah. And after all the adventures, we had a beautiful location to return to away from the hustle and bustle. An overall great experience!

The house was located on a beautiful forest. A few issues that we found once we arrived we were limited to the property and was not allowed to explore. The neighboring property which was just 15 feet behind the house was off limits. The other issue was we were not allowed to have a few guest over for a visit. We were told that we were limited to the number of guest registered to stay. I felt that this information should have been divulged as part of the description.

We were very pleased with this home! This spaceous house was perfect for us. Beds were comfortable. Three bathrooms was what we needed. Home was clean. Gas fireplace we did use and it came on easily. Daily the wild turkeys and mule deer greeted us at sunrise in the backyard or access road or both. Hummingbirds frequented the porch flowers. Great kitchen design for 4 adults working simultaneously at breakfast time. The master bath on the first floor had a feature I really liked, separate water closet from the sink & shower areas and it all was tucked behind a sliding barn door. We kept the heat off and opened the bedroom windows at night. Perfect sleeping for the beautiful down comforters. Last 3/4 mile of access road leading up to the house is unpaved gravel but in exceptionally good condition.

We had a wonderful stay! This is a beautiful property and looks exactly like the photos. We stayed here while we were in Durango for our son’s wedding, and it was the perfect home base for us. We had a very busy weekend and it was such a treat to be able to come home to such a peaceful location. Only about 15 minutes to downtown, but it felt a world away. We had lots of morning coffee on the back patio and enjoyed the lovely fireplace. The bed in the master may be the softest, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. One downside—the beds in the other bedrooms are quite firm and could use mattress toppers, but if you like a firmer bed it won’t be an issue. Even our dog had a wonderful time! It took us 15 minutes to get her into our car to leave for Denver this morning! She did not want to leave! Thanks for a great stay. We’ll be back!

I get that property owners can have rules, but the long list of ‘additional requirements’ that must be followed or ‘additional fees may apply’ really set off a vacation on the wrong note. Further, and disgustingly, while most of the property was clean, upon pulling back the comforter of the master bed, the grey blanket underneath obviously had either blood or feces on it. Needless to say I had to wash everything before sleeping in the bed. Don’t mean to be too picky, but honestly, I’ve been on the road for 11 months now, and this was a disappointment, especially for the money.

First off, it was a peaceful place. The Russian sage brought in the hummingbirds, and we seen lizards and deer, which was amazing! Cleanliness, was not up to my standards! We found crumbs and trash underneath chairs drawers. Inside drawers were filthy. My bathtub downstairs was dirty had hair in it!!! bedrooms… the downstairs bedroom was fine, except for the bed was so uncomfortable. I wound up, sleeping in the recliner in the living room, and there was no TV in that bedroom, the upstairs bedrooms with the king. Bed was the same way as far as the bad being so uncomfortable, you couldn’t sleep my sister wound up, going to the bedroom with the bunkbeds and slept in there, which was a little better, the coffee pot was filthy underneath. The sink was filthy. The trashcan was very dirty, I spilled water on the floor and a paper towel. Wipe it up with, and it came back. The floors were mopped and cleaned. The description of the property was not fully disclosed about the phone service and Internet service ! And that we really couldn’t go for a walk because the property is deadlocked to other peoples property and it was made perfectly clear by directions in the house that we could not step past that property line. Location was I have to say I give it a three star , because the beds were so uncomfortable we couldn’t sleep in them and the phone service was horrible and the cleanliness was not good to my standards.

Spent 5 days in Durango with our two grand daughters at the Barndominion! What a wonderful experience! The home was clean, kitchen well stocked, but the best part of our stay was the location and all the wildlife that came to visit while we were there. We will definitely plan to book here again. Checkin was easy and experience was wonderful!

Perfect for our needs. Very comfortable, the whole family enjoyed it. Loved being back in the pines away from other homes, felt like a real retreat. The parade of wild turkeys and a couple of deer the morning we left was a special treat. Completely satisfied, no complaints.

House is standing on a most amazing piece of land if you want to escape from daily routine it's a perfect place you surrounded by nature!!! House it's self it's good too but no air conditioning so it was hot 🥵 and cabinets in a kitchen are flimsy so be careful how you open !! Everything was good except I was disappointed that house is not clean dirty silverware bathroom mats not white but brown and sheets smelled like sweat so I washed everything next day Spider webs everywhere on a ceiling light fixtures and they saying that they have service who cleans the house really floors haven't been washed since probably house was built we don't walk with shoes in a house but barefoot bottom of your feet turns black socks went in a garbage too they left broom and vacuum so they should provide bucket with mops so we can buy floor cleaner and wash them If I would have this property I would check what kind of job maids doing !!!!!! The bed skirt it's so dirty and put on not wrong so list can go on But we enjoy our stay after we cleaned and first morning I saw bobcat out of my bedroom window downstairs we slept with open windows it was awesome !! Thank you again for the opportunity to stay in this amazing location!!!

The first week of June, we rented the Barndominium in Durango just off of Florida Rd. I will firstly say the staff of Durango Vacation staff is super nice and helpful. They were immediate responsive to any questions prior to our vacation and the day of our arrival with a concern we had. Very nice everyone we spoke to. My review is mainly for the vacation house itself. Its a newer construction barndominium which is nice. The furniture and beds were all great and new. The house keeper apparently had some very dirty guests prior to our arrival, so her main focus was cleaning up mud off the carpets and rugs. The house was very clean when we arrived, with the one exception of the coffee maker that those prior renters apparently just kept putting coffee grounds each day never dumping and leaving the glass to break and burn (no fault of the rental company) so I had to use Keurig pods that were luckily left behind by others so we could have morning coffee without spending extra money (we had already bought grounds). The beds were soft and the couches were comfy. The kitchen is extremely well stocked, the best we have been at, with all kinds of pans, storage containers, spices, utensils, etc. The layout was great for our family of 3. Another small family or grandparents would be perfect there as well. My biggest complaints about the rental that I think would easily make this a 5 star review and place to stay. 1. Be more upfront that there are cameras. The listing says "some of our units of cameras" but doesn't specify. Def our fault for not clarifying but the cameras made us uncomfortable, although I do 100% understand the need for them as an owner. We just might have chose somewhere else to stay knowing that. 2. There needs to be extermination done frequently. We relocated (or tried) at least 50 spiders durning our stay, and that was when our daughter started counting. They were literally everywhere. We didn't mention during our stay b/c we didn't want chemicals sprayed while our dog was crated in the home, plus it would scare him someone else being in there while hes in his crate alone. But man, they were everywhere, even in the beds. We never had the windows opened or doors opened as it was very hot during our stay. 3. There needs to be some kind of awning or covering for the patio area. We love enjoying the outdoor spaces when we travel, but we could not here. The outside furniture was caked with dirt and it was 100% in the sun until around 8pm. With the heat it was not comfortable to sit in full sun during the day time when we happened to be at the home. A retractable covering would be great as I understand the sun exposure during the winter is critical but its hard to enjoy the outside in the summer. 4. Make sure the renters know that even though this unit is on a lot of land, you can't really explore it. The house is built directly on the property line and instructions in the home and signs outside said not to trespass beyond about 15 feet of the home, then the other portion is on a hill. 5. Make renters more aware of how far down a dirt road the unit is, from Taylor Ranch Road its about .75 miles of dirt road to the home (including the driveway) 6. We knew a TV was not in the downstairs bed room, but it would be really nice if there was a TV in that room. There is in both the other bedrooms. 7. There is no garage parking bc the garage areas are locked. Overall, this is a nice place to stay, the staff is great, and we had a wonderful time in Durango! I just wish we could have enjoyed the outdoor space more.

This is our second stay at this property and we loved it as much this time as we did the last. It's sparkling clean, has a well-stocked kitchen, and the most comfy bed in the master bedroom that we've ever slept on. Our dog, Ginger, remembered the place from the last time we were there and was immediately comfortable. We had a great time watching the herd of deer through the large windows in the living room. When we need a respite, this will always be the place that we stay in Durango for some R and R. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

10/10

This house was exactly what we were hoping for. It was not too far away from downtown, had surprisingly fast wifi so we could all still take meetings over Zoom and we even saw a few deer right out the window.
