"We are staying in Mérida for the month and wanted a getaway at the beach for a few days for New Year’s. LobLob was perfect. Great beach huts in a stunningly beautiful location far from other residences. Quiet, good food, sea breezes, and that clean sea smell. Our host, Marcos, was attentive and kind. A lovely combination. "We had a fabulous 14-day stay. The house and property are exactly as advertised. Judy was excellent, in sharing a colourful guide to Telchac Puerto prior to our arrival, to sending a pic of Francisco the property caretaker (so you know who you're greeting), to making sure the hot meal provided on our first night met any dietary restrictions. The hot meal was wonderful and more than enough for the two of us for a few meals. Beds and furniture were comfy and the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you are used to at home. Honestly, the whole house is equipped with everything you need and it feels like a home away from home because it is one. Towels (lots!), shampoo, bodywash, games, cooking oils, coffee, ice were all there for us on arrival. Francisco was such a gem, and without perfect English manages to make sure your stay and everything in the house is running smoothly for you! Roll with the punches and ebbs and flows here. This is not Canada or the US with unlimited resources. The wifi can be spotty on occasion, there is not unlimited water on demand, the entire town may suffer a power outage for most of a day (as it did when we were there), and there will be mosquitos. Such is life. None of these things are controllable. Respect your resources available, and don't let any lack skew your stay at a very welcoming and lovely home - and have fun!Lastly, I would say that apart from the sand potentially, I see this house as accessible and mobility device friendly. "

"Running water was hit and miss; rarely had any; and there was absolutely no hot water. A Dog next door barked continuously. Given 1 towel with a sachet of cheap shampoo and a small bar of soap. The Receptionist doesn't speak English and sims dont really work and wifi is not great so take a phase book if you don't speak Spanish. Door lock is very hard to work. Separate WiFi for the cabins but the receptionist only gives out the wifi for the lower ground, make sure you ask for it. Flimsy curtains so light filters in. There is nowhere to put your clothes. There is a safe and fridge in the room."
