I was looking for a relatively secluded place were I could be alone for a couple weeks. This was a fantastic place! The area is quite, and the lake setting is very beautiful and relaxing. Inside, the house has a charming "grandma's house" feel, and it is fully stocked with all the linens, towels, soaps, etc, as well kitchen supplies. One will find everything they need to stay comfortably for as long as they need. The library and sitting room were some of my favorite parts. However, the real star of the show is the large veranda. I practically lived out there. It is very well enclosed, so no big issues, and provides a beautiful view of the lake and nature. The sunsets were spectacular! I actually brought my own plastic adirondack chair, because I usually don't like wicker furniture. However, the furniture out there is actually pretty comfortable. One could sit out there all day and night, enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
There are permanent tenants living on the 2nd floor, however they were hardly noticeable. I never even saw them in person over 2 weeks.
The lake is quite, with only light boat traffic. If you wanted, I believe you can even use a nearby boat launch, and shore your boat on the property's shoreline.
While one could easily stay on the property all day, as I did, there's also plenty of attractions near by. The house has a binder with local restaurants and attractions, as well as shopping and grocery stores.
This place is absolutely beautiful, and I plan to come back if I get the chance. I've already refered several friends and even my parents to go there. I think you'll love it to.
