Great ski trip stay.

Great location in between angel fire and red river. Cute little town with a few nice restaurants. Hotel owners are managing and struggling finding help but were kind and transparent and friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was not fancy but nice and clean which is important to us. The owners were awesome and very accommodating. Even though we don't skii, this is the perfect location between Red River and Angel Fire skii areas.

No, there was no where to check in and out at. They promised me a refund for an early check out so far never got one. No front desk, phone to call them on don’t work I emailed no response. Expedia tried to reach out they never responded to them for a refund no response. Staff was nice and very friendly. We upgraded to queen beds and only got 2 full size beds. Rooms were clean. When we showed up there was a staff room with a box on the ground out side with my room key in it.

While it appeared that the property was short staffed, the room was very clean, and we were given the 1st floor as requested. The fridge and microwave were clean and in good working condition. There were streaming services like Netflix, Disney, Prime, etc, but wi-fi and internet connection was spotty. Overall, we needed a place to stay to ski at Angel fire, and this hotel served its purpose nicely from a location and cost standpoint.

We enjoyed the excellent answers about the area history that we got while conversing with the general manager. She knows her history about the local area as well as the state. Such a vibrant history. We will be visiting Chimayo on her suggestion. Our room was very clean, safe and she even went out to buy an alarm clock as ours broke. We truly feel like our business is appreciated

Forst room we checked into was not clean because of the new house keeper. Staff apologized and upgraded our stay. Staff was kind and understanding. There is a $190 pending charge on my card that seems to be a reoccurring problem with that system.

OK but many things to be improved

Stay here for one night. The room is spacious but needs to be maintained. The bed cover, sheets and towels have stains. The bathroom is good but no hair dryer is provided. When I entered the room, the table was not cleaned. WiFi did not work during the most time of my stay. Front desk is friendly. Only coffee was provided in the lobby but no breakfast.

Staff was very nice! Check in was very difficult because of new card readers. Breakfast is advertised and was not available. The TV was a total nightmare and I ended up not even watching. Wi-Fi was poor and there was a power out each morning that I left. Room was clean, but there wasn’t enough power for the microwave refrigerator and coffee pot.

I arrived early morning and the manager went out of her way to accommodate us. Our room was clean and the early check in made everything about the trip go smooth. The game room was great, I hadn't played darts in years. This is truly an escape from the city life I can't wait to return to this property. The building is definitely not new but the manager is doing excellent with what she has. She was extremely knowledgeable about the state, surroundings and answered all of the questions we had. I would most absolutely recommend to fellow travelers before believing these other reviews, try for yourself, the staff is awesome and you won't regret it

Multi Tasking as an Art

I recently stayed at Econo Lodge in Eagle Nest and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the staff. Despite the busy environment, they managed to multitask efficiently, attending to various guest needs with remarkable ease. What stood out the most was their ability to handle different types of guests and their unique requirements, all while maintaining a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Liked lake and stream fishing within 30 minutes- so so eateries not-cleaning service individual left room unlocked after service while away from property- no refrigerator in second room even tho property manager indicated they had in storage no ac in room , window ac unit did not fit in room one, no room door security bar or lock both units, window in room 2 fell off when opening for fresh air.

The TV worked about 50% of time. No A/C, which we were not informed of ahead of time. We were traveling with our dog, hot experience for her. The window would not lock, not safe at all. The staff was helpful, when they were there. We paid for 2 nights, got locked out the 2nd day, and had to climb through the window to get in and waited 5 hours for the staff to get back on sight to get the card reactivated. Wasted 5 hours of our vacation waiting, which should not have happened to begin with, since we paid for 2 days, not one.

The staff was friendly and cooperative. The mountain views were unique and beautiful. Morning waffles were delicious. When it comes to the facility, it is in need of repair and/or upkeep. No toilet paper or tissue in the gameroom bathroom. The staff laundry room (beside) the gameroom was unsanitary-disorganized. It left me with an feeling of uncleanliness. Carpets were worn and dirty. Tools, vacuums, miscellaneous like 'garbage' on and around the office. Car and trailer with lumber and tools blocking the front office area.

Very challenging stay

New owners took over about six months ago and are working hard to correct everything that fell into disrepair. Upon arrival the TV did not work, there was very little toilet paper, lamps in the room with too few outlets to accommodate needs. The bed was not comfortable. The morning of checkout there was an extreme drop in water pressure. The TV was fixed, but barely had any volume. We had to buy an extension cord and power strip for our phones, etc. I tried to return the door key at 10am before leaving and to ask about the water pressure but lobby was locked and no one to be found. I don't know what to say other than good luck. And at the price I paid at 153 per night, I wasn't pleased.
