If you want enjoy a true Cowes experience, chose Anchor Cottage!
The cottage was exactly as described, clean and welcoming and in an amazing location. Having parking outside your door was a real bonus and the views are fantastic if you want to experience life on the busy estuary and Cowes harbour.
The property is a great base to enjoy all that the beautiful IOW has to offer.
The cottage details very honestly inform you that there is noise from 5am until late at night that comes from the 'workings'/activity of the very usefull/crucial Floating Bridge which is located immediately next door to the cottage. The chains etc do make a lot of noise as the bridge arrives and departs, but after 24hrs or so we became so used to it we hardly noticed it anymore.
If I had to make one very minor criticism it would be that the towels could be replaced or even bettter, a different method of washing and DRYING them could be found to revive and soften them up a bit, they have lost their fluffyness and are a bit hard.
That is honestly the only negative thing I have to say about this unique property.
