New Lake Home - Available Friday to Friday this Summer 2024!
Our lake home is the perfect Northern Michigan Getaway for your family to create lasting memories. Offering privacy, in a wooded location overlooking the South Arm of Lake Charlevoix, built 100 years ago; with an added addition to accommodate your family. In fact, once you visit our family room, make sure to view the framed photo featuring our home, as it was in 1922.
The main level of our home features two queen guest bedrooms, two living rooms separated by a fireplace, two dining rooms with a spacious kitchen. Just about every TV in the home is a Smart TV with complimentary Wifi. Our kitchen is complete with new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and two dining islands. Not to mention the snack and coffee bar with a beverage refrigerator.
The second level of the homes features three additional bedrooms, including the Master Suite with a full bathroom, king bed and walk-out balcony. The additional guest bedrooms feature a bunk room for the kids and a double queen bedroom.
Our home is located in East Jordan with access to a private dock. Perfect for fishing and large enough to hoist a 21' boat. A launch ramp is available at the end of the street, or take a short drive past town to the South Arm Marina.
Enjoy our private beach. Little ones can swim in a large area with shallow waters and a sandy bottom (2ft deep). An adult of 5’+ can stand at the end of the dock, past the hoist. There is a drop-off, which goes on an angle. Perfect for fishing!
The South Arm of the lake in known to be the best for swimming and water skiing. The waters tend to be warm and sandy compared to other areas of the lake. You will also experience wildlife in this secluded area, without the busy roads. Don't forget to bring the pup! Our home is pet friendly with a non-refundable fee.

Local Events:
Freedom Festival - East Jordan's Best Fireworks display on Lake Charlevoix! You can enjoy the festival on our beach and dock with a cozy beach fire. Don't forget to bring the s'mores!

Stroll the Streets - Every Friday in Boyne City, during the Summer season: LIVE music, cotton candy and face painting for the kids.

Local Adventures:
The Jordan Valley Trail System is ideal for hiking and biking, or adventure on the Jordan River: canoeing, kayaking and superior trout fishing.
We're just minutes to Downtown East Jordan and less than 10 miles to Boyne City. For your winter adventure, Boyne Mountain Resort is just 15 miles away for a weekend filled with skiing, snowshoeing and more! Boyne also offers ten world-class golf courses. You can enjoy the Monument and the Alpine. At Boyne Highlands are the Donald Ross, Arthur Hills, the Moor and Heather courses. The Bay Harbor Golf Course offers the Links, Preserve, and Quarry courses. All courses are open to the public. A golf shop is on site at Boyne Mountain for all of your golfing needs.
Fall is spectacular in Northern Michigan. Come for a week or long weekend of color-changing foliage and breathtaking views. Mountain Bike or hike away the day!

Mackinac City is just an hour drive from the home where you can take in a day of shopping, dining, and sight-seeing. Drive across the Mackinac Bridge into the Upper Peninsula, or take a ferry over to the Historic Mackinac Island where you step back in time.

The rental was clean, spacious and beautifully appointed. As the Mom, what I also appreciated was having a variety of spaces for gathering and quiet reading time . . . plenty of spaces in our togetherness. The large kitchen accommodated multiple people beautifully. More than anything we loved the sandy beach, swimming by the dock, time gathered around the table on the deck and the campfire. With enough comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms for all, this venue worked great for our group! We would love to book it again for next year.

Beautiful view on the lake. Could be a nice rental with some needed attention. The house needs updating and cleaning of all rugs. Downstairs bedrooms and baths very dated. Several of the mattresses were very worn and saggy. Barbecues and outdoor seating nasty.

Nice beach but home needs some TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The interior of the home was clean, but the outside is cluttered with items and the sun deck is in poor condition. The grounds had not been cleaned for what looked like a long time and spider webs were all over. The home is outfitted with an assortment of mis-fit, damaged and left-over cottage items. The kitchen lacks adequate pots and pans, a toaster, sharp knives, and is a collection of garage-sale items. The freezer overflowed and did not make ice (management addressed), and the bedrooms rooms lack blinds or curtains. Based on the pictures, I expected a high-quality home which this is not.This has a nice beach with a raft which is great for swimming, but it is just a big cottage that sleeps a lot of people. The beds, linens and towels were fine, but this is an old cottage with left over furniture and not a high-end rental that I expected from the price.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We truly enjoyed our experience in Northern Michigan at this lovely home. The layout was perfect for our family of 8. We especially enjoyed spending time together in the large main area with open concept kitchen and living room areas and very comfy furniture as well as enjoying the view from the deck and dock. The sandy beach and shallow sandy entrance to the lake made the lake very fun to swim in. Water temperature quite warm in the low 70's. We enjoyed docking a boat on the property and renting kayaks and paddle boards from a local company. The property was very clean and the managers were responsive and prompt. The kitchen could have been stocked better for cooking: no real decent knives, limited pot holders and kitchen towels; limited spatulas and other kitchen utensils; poor quality pots/pans but we were able to be creative and enjoy some decent meals cooked at home. Also poor water pressure made taking showers in more than one bathroom at the same time a challenge but we worked it out. We didn't feel safe using the grill on the back deck because when we turned on the gas line to the grill at the gas tank, we smelled gas and we were concerned there may be a leak in the line extending from the tank to the grill. But this was not a deal breaker for us.
