The historic Preston Mill, with its distinctive Dutch-style conical roof, offers fascinating guided tours along the River Tyne. Explore the charming village center with its stone buildings, then visit nearby Hailes Castle for spectacular views of the countryside.
The rooms were very comfortable, clean and quiet. Our group of 4 had excellent service and a great breakfast. We only stayed one night and wish we could have be there multiple days. The location was very convenient to explore Dunbar by foot. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

Beautiful impression as you enter. Staff were awesome. Terrific view of the golf course and people playing with their dogs. Very comfortable and relaxing.

We highly recommend The Leddie for your next visit to the East Lothian coast. The Leddie provides an elegant and upscale ambiance at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our “home base” for the East Lothian portion of our golf trip which included North Berwick, Gullane, Muirfield and Renaissance Club.
The Leddie was renovated within the last two years so the appointments were all fairly new. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent. The staff, including especially the bartending staff,...

Orchard House Lodges was our base for nearly a week. It was the perfect place to unwind and rest after our days of touring beautiful Scotland. It was clean and furnished with everything we needed, including preparing simple meals when we desired. The views are beautiful, it’s very quiet, and only a couple of miles into town for any shopping needs or restaurants/take-outs you may want. Overall a wonderful choice for those who don’t love crowded cities and hotels! Oh, and the highland coos are...

The receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room. That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense. Was told guests complain about the smell. That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property, how does that explanation make sense. If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...

Amazing mansion conversion into an event center and hotel. And there is even a lift to get you up to the top floor! Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. It was somewhat difficult for me to find using GPS. Needed to ask for help at the Tesco petrol station.

Made a short trip to North Berwick to go to the Scottish Seabird Centre and some boat trips. Perfect place for what I needed! Very friendly staff, nice and quiet accommodations and reasonably priced compared to other options.

Okay, so as long as you park within the parking space lines (for fire safety reasons) your stay at the Spindrift Guest House should be a great experience.
The honesty bar in the lounge is extremely well-stocked. We did not partake, but the whisky selection according to my husband was excellent.
The room is spacious and well-decorated. The bathroom is small and the height of the bath may be a bit tricky for some. No baths are allowed and I found the water temperature on the tepid side when I...

Dalhousie Castle is the ideal place if you're looking to stay in a castle in the Edinburgh area. It's about a 20 minute taxi ride from the city center which is just far enough to be out in the peaceful Scottish countryside. The castle itself is absolutely beautiful, and sits on grounds that are equally so, with archery, falconry, and several great walking paths.
The staff at the hotel were extremely nice and accommodating - we were even greeted by a nice gentleman in full Scottish garb who...
