"We have very mixed feelings overall. Starting with the good: convenient location, nice room (direct view of the Empire State Building), free coffee in the mornings, most staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, our stay didn't end well. We asked reception if they could order a taxi for us to the airport (as it's not impossible for foreigners to use the app for this) and were quoted the regulated price. To our surprise, at the agreed time a standard car showed up instead of a taxi. While this already wasn't what we agreed on, things got weirder as we noticed the driver discussing a kickback from our trip - probably explaining why we didn't get a taxi as requested. Not necessarily a problem on its own, but it felt like we didn't get what we asked for for personal gain. To make things worse, when we said we would pay by card, we were told we had to pay more then - not something that would have happened with a taxi and felt both unfair and dodgy. As the cherry on the cake, there was no tip option below 25% / couldn't enter a custom amount - while this is an epidemic in the US, it felt especially ridiculous as we were already paying more than what was agreed and how much the taxi's regulated price would have been."

"We enjoyed our stay at The Westin it was walking distance to Grand Central Station making it easy to navigate just about anywhere we wanted to go. The staff was excellent and rooms was spacious and clean. I would stay here again on my next trip to New York."

"No Ac/ Room dirty, not same room as the one they show for city view king size, 2/3 elevators weren’t working, also if you don’t ask about any other fees they don’t tell you that you have a $38 a day food and beverage fee that will be removed from deposit whether you use it or not and I thinks it’s sneaky because they don’t tell you so they can make more money if you don’t use it. Horrible!"

"We had the perfect suite with a terrace the first time. 2 subsequent stays the rooms were not as nice. Dated but clean. One had too many mirrors. But that’s what makes staying there fun. You never know what you’re going to get. Then we just stayed again. And it was outstanding! Perfect room to be comfortable in. Thank you, Abeer! The staff is always amazingly! Jimmy so helpful everytime—sad that we didn’t get to see Gordon. I hope he gets to feeling better soon. Same time next year if Kam get’s another part in the play. Stay safe —my friends. "
