"I had a very frustrating experience during my stay. Upon arrival, I was assigned a handicapped-accessible room that I did not request. While I understand availability can vary, this was not communicated in advance.
There were several maintenance and cleanliness concerns. The shower head was not functioning properly, and there was a vacuum attachment left beside the bed, which raised questions about the room’s preparation.
The most disruptive issue occurred in the middle of the night when a light in the room began flashing. It woke me up and made it impossible to get back to sleep. With my daughter having an early game the next morning, we needed to be up at 6:00 a.m., so rest was important. When I contacted staff around 1:00 a.m., the suggested solution was to bring in a ladder and cover the light with duct tape. That was not a reasonable option at that hour, especially with a child asleep.
As a result, we had to pack up and move rooms the next day which was a major inconvenience.
Overall, this experience was disappointing due to the lack of preparation, maintenance issues, and the inconvenience caused during an already busy and important trip."
