"The hotel is nice location, however the room and most areas are looking quite quite tired, very squeaky floor in the room (100). I was worried moving around too much that it would disturb other guests."

"The only reason that I can't give the Bull Inn 5 stars is due to the really strange lay-out whereby the shower is totally open to the room. Obviously, if you share a room with someone, you're going to know each other very well, but having some privacy when you shower would be a good thing."

The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming, which made a big difference. We had a lovely evening meal and breakfast was just as good. The location is in a quiet and peaceful village and the beer garden was a great bonus. We’d happily stay here again."

"Check in was straightforward, I arrived earlier than check in but was able to access my room. Room was clean & bright & roomy. Large comfy bed & all facilities. Well positioned for visiting Bury St Edmunds & surrounding area. Lovely village pub which was popular with locals. Staff friendly & food good."

"We had no idea how many social problems there were in Thetford. All of this marked our stay from being attacked by vicious loose dogs to loud drunks in the high street. Our room needed new windows but was otherwise adequate. If they are all like then a serious programme of investment is needed. Bar food was mostly nice and easy. Frequently though it was unstaffed as the kitchen is miles away. Why not give service to a KP and use walkie-talkies? Dog treats appreciated. We wanted to go to the church but found it was long closed down and to cap it off we found a dead swan which i reported. Sadly we will never return to Thetford."
