"Stopped her overnight on return home after ferry to Portsmouth. Staff helpful with some last minute requests. Room a bit small but well equipped. Could do with more space for belongings if staying for more than one night. Lovely to find fresh milk left outside room for us to use in morning. Very good, wide, choice at breakfast. Had meal in evening food good, just disappointed that dish I chose was not available."

"Having read previous reviews, our expectations were low. Only to find in booking in that the rooms were very good. Spacious, clean and with good facilities. The only criticism internally was the carpet could benefit from either cleaning or replacing. The stairwells could also benefit from a paint refresh. The staff go beyond on providing customer service and trust they are getting rewarded accordingly. The food, although the service was slow, the evening meal was very good but the portions were on the small side. More garlic bread with the Chilli please. The breakfast was excellent. Now the golf course, the greens regardless of the fact that we were told they were being maintained they are the worst greens we have seen in 50 years of playing golf elsewhere. One of our party was friends with the previous owner 10 years ago and the course then was immaculate. It still has the same potential but needs investment.Then it would be a lovely place to come for Golfing Weekend and also maybe a Wedding venue. My final statement, is that you ran out of Guinness."

"Breakfast was absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed it. Having the evening meal as part of the package was great too — the food was very good, and we’d definitely try the steak again. The staff were so friendly, the grounds were lovely, and our hotel room was very clean. We’d definitely recommend visiting again💚"
