Beautiful property in the forest. Parking tricky. Staff professional and attentive. Web site indicate turn right at BP garage but it is in actual fact an Engen garage.

Anybody else who has travelled with kids though South Africa knows that booking family-sized accommodations that are safe, clean and affordable can be a challenge. Our stay at Happy Lands B&B was a welcome sanctuary on our route. Mike and Nita were wonderful hosts, and went out of their way to make this our best stay of our 3 week trip. The staff was very attentive! We had an amazing time! The rooms were absolutely gorgeous and exactly what our family needed.

We really enjoyed staying at the The Whaling Station. It is a very safe and protected area with convenient parking. We liked the walk to the lagoon and being personally welcomed by Kasia who gave us excellent recommendations.

We only spent an evening in Nieu Bethesda - which we thoroughly enjoyed. Stopped for roosterkoek at Toren farm stall on our way in and had to stop again when we left - delicious! We will be back to see more of this beautiful, tranquil little town.

The hosts are so warm and welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We regret that we only had one night here.
