The house has three levels of living space for those needing distance and more privacy. Fiberoptic internet supports working remotely at the desk upstairs. After a walk to the farmers' market, cook the island-grown meats and produce in a fully-equipped kitchen with a gourmet stove and island countertop. Rainy weather? Stay in and luxuriate in the clawfoot tub, or sip a hot drink in front of the gas fireplace. House is well-equipped with games, puzzles, books, CDs, and DVDs. Recently re-decorated with your comfort in mind!

Close to nature yet only steps to Eastsound. This charming Craftsman home is situated eight miles from the ferry and has views of the water from the deck and nearby park. It is only four and a half miles to Moran State Park, where you can hike the many trails, see the waterfalls, lakes, and wildlife. Drive up to Mt Constitution to enjoy a 360 - degree view of the San Juan Islands. Kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, and playground are available at one of the park lakes. Adjacent greenbelt invites lawn games and sports. Bring your racquets or skate gear, as there is a beautiful skatepark with tennis and pickleball courts within walking distance.

Great location!

If you’re looking to be near the town, you can’t do much better than this. Short walk to the cafes and restaurants. Has a lovely tub upstairs, which felt amazing after a long day hiking. Would recommend to anyone looking for an Eastsound getaway.

Great place for a family group

Clean, roomy and delightful! The “garage” area was perfect for our bikes. Easy walk to town, restaurants, and kayaking.

Convenient, comfortable, cute place in Eastsound

Stayed here over a weekend in September for a ladies' weekend while participating in a trail running event at Moran State Park. This was a comfortable and cute place and I wish we'd had more time just to hang out here! Check-in and check-out were both easy, the location was great, property was quiet and peaceful, and beds were comfortable. Would stay again for sure!

Lovely Comfortable Home

There were three of us staying for two nights. We did not spend very much time here and I wish we could have stayed longer. It is a lovely, thoughtful, clean and well equipped home. This home would be great for a family. There are lots of games, wonderful space allocations and very nice outside spaces as well. We wish the weather had been warmer for that! Good location and close to town. We would definitely recommend.

The Craftsman located in Eastsound , Orcas Island

We loved how centrally located The Craftsman is to East Sound activities, beaches, restaurants, etc. Top priority for us as travelers to Orcas. We also love that four people can occupy with everyone being happy!

Very quiet in Winter

I enjoy the off-season in resort areas so enjoy coming to Orcas Island in February. This house is cozy and comfy, and I’ve rented it 4 of the last 5 years, which ought to say something! You can’t beat the location! Note to Sandi , the owner tho: you need to provide a snow shovel and bag of ice melter/rock salt.

The house has a great floor plan for a group or family with teens. Can’t beat the location. Walk into town or the beach in 5 minutes on the enchanted trails!

Awesome house. Very spacious and comfortable. Pro tip: There is a path in back for a short walk to town Don’t miss the historical museum also. And the crab bisque at the Marina bar and grill is spectacular

Wonderful girls weekend

Friends from grade school, now in our 50’s, enjoyed a quiet and relaxing four days. Nice easy walking path to town, plenty of good restaurants (one person was gluten free and restaurants were knowledgeable!) house was lovely with plenty of room for alone time if needed. Hiking trails and views galore! It was a wonderful time.

Friends Get-Away

The property was great, perfectly situated for walks into the little town, right in the middle of the Island for easy drives or bikes to other areas. Clean, well appointed, very comfortable. Was great for us - 3 mid-age women who like to hang out together. Looks like would be good for group with kids or teens as well as there was a nice private downstairs area. Highly recommend.

Cozy for a winter stay

This was the third time I’ve rented this beautiful home in January or February, which has to say something ! I would buy this place in a heartbeat. With the cozy fireplace, well designed lighting and fully equipped, full size appliances it is perfect even if it’s rainy … but THIS time the weather was unusually nice. I’m sure it’s very nice “ in season” but Orcas Island is much too crowded in summer.

We loved the central location on the island as we came to hike. We enjoyed being able to walk into the small village but were disappointed that most things were closed or had very limited hours while we were there. The home is in need of some updating of the living room and outdoor furniture as well as some indoor painting of the woodwork. Cleaning of the floors needs to be improved.

The house was very clean, with nice furnishings. However, the oven didn't work and the outside lighting was terrible. The stone walkway was uneven and the motion detecting lighting is poorly placed, forcing you to walk in the dark across an uneven surface.

Dreamy in every way

Such a beautiful house, inside and out, that is a very short walk (along a path) into town. The house itself was immaculate and such a good layout for our family. The main floor is a big open space with a large kitchen, dining area, and living room. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a large bathroom. The basement had another bedroom, bathroom, and living room. My son, who is in college and living in a dorm, was thrilled to have a whole private door to himself. The house was well stocked: games, puzzles, books, movies, and a very well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed to make Thanksgiving dinner. The house is in a small community of houses by the same builder -- all are lovely and they are positioned on the property so that you never feel you are looking into someone else's house. The one suggestion I would have is to have someone clean the pots and pans before the next guest. The people who used this equipment before us did not clean them well, and it was kind of gross. We would have probably cleaned everything we were planning to use beforehand anyway, but it wasn't pleasant to see food remains.

Great stay, cute and cozy home

Overall our stay was great and comfortable. The issue we had, which really bums me out is the lack of communication from Vacasa. I would have personally messaged the owner if there was a possibility, so instead, I hope she sees this. Prior to our arrival, I confirmed with them twice that there is a pack n play in the house and upon arriving late at night after a 16 hour travel day with our 9 month old, there wasn’t one at the house. I contacted Vacasa probably 6 times and each time they told me they’d “check on it” and never responded back, not even 7 days later. I finally gave up after 3 days. We are on an island in the middle of no where and had to scramble and have our family reach out to Facebook groups to try and get us a PP for our 9 month old. I have had problems with Vacasa in the past like this where they just stop responding instead of actually helping. Being an owner of 4 rental properties myself, I would highly encourage the owner to get a new management company. It too cute of a place to have such terrible service. Everything else was great, the house was super cozy!
