"The hotel is very well located. It is opposite the railway station in Salerno and close to the main shopping street and the marina. The historic centre is within easy walking distance and there are plenty of restaurants around. The staff are exceptionally helpful and courteous. The room and the common areas are clean and well maintained. The lift in the hotel is rather small and can be a bit erratic. My only suggestion is that room service should make sure there is always a spare roll of toilet papers in the bathroom. One night we ran out and I had to go down to reception to ask for toilet paper at 4.30 am! Generally it is a very good hotel and I would highly recommend it."

"Great location, high in the hills above Amalfi offering amazing views. The hotel was clean, well maintained, really helpful and friendly staff. The bedrooms were a good size, comfortable beds, well equipped bathroom, TV, tea and coffee. Handy shuttle bus to the town runs frequently throughout the day and can be booked online. Only criticism I can make is the breakfast was not very warm (no matter what time you arrived) the coffee machine was hopeless, getting it too work was very hit and miss, needed pods that you had to get from staff. Restaurant food not good value, menu choice was strange and quite limited, portions were small, my opinion was it was aspiring to be something it simply wasn't i.e. fine dining. But there are plenty of places to eat in Amalfi so wasn't an issue for us."

"My wife and I recently celebrated a milestone birthday in Amalfi and stayed at the Anantara Convento Di Amalfi Grand Hotel. We had many hotel options, but we are so pleased that we chose the Anantara and the city of Amalfi for our stay. The location was a perfect launching point to visit the many areas of interest. It was close enough to all the restaurants, shops and sea in Amalfi, but also far enough away to enjoy a more private experience. The walk from the hotel down into the center of Amalfi was breathtaking. The staff was wonderful and always bent over backwards to make us happy. We must give a shoutout to the pastry chef for breakfast. We really enjoyed all the special treats."
