"After a truly terrible booking experience with Hotels.com I was little dubious about our stay but it was brilliant from start to finish. The interior of the hotel is beautiful, modern, fresh, as are the rooms. We had a family room which was ideal, a small fridge which had been stocked with some goodies. All the staff are friendly, the food was amazing. Breakfast was my boys favourite! The only slight thing which lets the hotel down is the pool, it needs a refresh! They seem to have renovated the whole hotel but not the pool. Also worth noting to check the timetable in the pool as we went only to be told it was closed for aquafit which wasn’t advertised anywhere in the leaflet given to us by reception. We can’t wait to return! "

"My partner and I had a brilliant 2-night stay at The George. Having just recovered from surgery on her wrist, I mentioned this, and a need for additionsl pillows, as a special request and everything from The George - from response time to accomodation - was five star. Breakfast (both continental and a la carte) was one of the best we've had and the bed was one of the comfiest. We were only here for two nights for a wedding but wish we could have stayed longer. Would definitely recommend ataying at The George! Also, use of the nearby CLC swimming pool was super easy and straightforward. Thanks to everyone at The George for a great stay."
