What stood out was that this is such a unique building with historical value, the best views and a lovely bar next door!

Beds were very comfortable. Coffee shop next door for morning coffee was helpful. You are literally right in the middle of the national monument on the top of the city - faulting during the day with tourists everywhere but Heaven at night when the crowds disappear. My only complaint was the communication. We had just arrived in Edinburgh and had no idea where to go. The host said there was a spot right out front to temporarily unload our stuff but gave us no other details. The whole process was very stressful. When I texted the same number after check in I never got a response. I ended up emailing Joivy and got a response the next day. If you are familiar with the area and the house, it wouldn’t have been a problem but we were driving in for the very first time and GPS just took us to a wall at the base of the hill…

This was a property unlike any other. It was so special and made the whole trip! We felt so special staying here and the views of the city are unparalleled! The cafe next door made for easy coffee in the mornings and cocktails at night. Everyone we met that realized we were staying there were amazed. I cannot recommend it enough!
