Great place to stay if in Edinburgh , easy check in no need to meet anyone and quiet and well kept public areas as well as the large apartment just what we needed space to feel at home after exploring the city.

Excellent stay at Lord Lyons Apartment. I stayed in the studio apartment (no.2), it was the one as shown in the pictures, option one when booking. It was immaculate and well presented, stylish & comfortable. Great location, just around the corner from Waverley station. Would for sure revisit!

Good but not great

We stayed in the one bedroom apartment and it was very stylish, the bed was very cosy and comfortable. It was a good location with everything on your door step and good restaurants around. The only bad things were... upon arriving in the apartment we noticed an off putting smell coming from the bathroom area and after checking realized it was coming from the shower, it did go by the next day but just made things uncomfortable whilst we were in the apartment so we had to keep it shut and tried to avoid going to the toilet. The heating was abit of a problem because of the ceilings being so high it was freezing in our room and we had it on the highest temperature you could have so we just expected to be coming in from a cold day to a warm room but that wasn’t always the case, check out was 11am and we got a knock on the door at 10:58 to a lady reminding us check out was 11am with a look on her face (basically wanting us to leave asap) so we felt rushed although we were packed we’ve never had this before and we often stay at hotels/apartments so we felt we overstayed our stay before the actual check out time and they wanted us out as quick as possible, the walls aren’t sound proof so you can hear everything including someone playing loud music from 8am. Apart from them small issues, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend these apartments.

Spacious, well-equipped and attractive apartment combining historical & contemporary decor. Comfortable and quiet, good tech, washing machine, keyless entry, street and Calton Hill views. Top location around the corner from Royal Mile and close to Waverley Station. Communications were good except for mixed up directions about walking from station with luggage. No recycling bins.

Nice and warm

Warm, clean and comfortable. With modern toilet and kitchenware. Staff replied to our enquiries promptly. But the bathroom might look a bit dark and some tiles are stylish which created illusion of dirtiness. And personally I do not like carpet.

Old school accommodation with a modern twist
