Curlew is a wonderful three bedroom house featuring a relaxing conservatory located in the heart of the fishing village Cockenzie and Port Seton and is within walking distance of local amenities and many local beaches with stunning views of the Firth of Forth to enjoy which capture the capital Edinburgh and the iconic Forth Cantilever Railway Bridge which was completed in 1890 alongside and the Queensferry Crossing which was opened by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 2007. With free on street parking Curlew can offer the perfect base for exploring the local area and the city of Edinburgh. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway or a family holiday, Curlew has everything you can need for a getaway on the East Coast of Scotland.


The space

The property has a bright open plan living and dining area. The living area features comfortable sofas, coffee table alongside a smart TV with Netflix. The space offers a dining table which comfortably seats six, offering one of two perfect areas for socialising. The property stands out from others in the area with its beautiful bright conservatory with comfortable seating which is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.


The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you may need to prepare meals throughout your stay. There is a family sized fridge/freezer alongside a washing machine and condenser dryer.


The main bedroom features a double bed with built-in hanging space and cupboard for clothes storage. This space is also large enough for an additional single guest bed on request or travel cot which is provided within the property.


Bedroom two features a double bed and a single bed making it the perfect space for a family with a young child or single members of your party. This also includes hanging space and drawer space.


Bedroom three at the end of the hallway is a single bedroom which consists of one single bed, hanging and drawer space.


All our bedrooms offer mirrors, bedside lighting, premium 100% cotton bed linens and towels.


The family bathroom offers both a bath and shower options. With its luxury shower over bath, WC and basin.


Outdoor space

This property features a wonderful outdoor space to the side and rear of the property. The rear of the property features an open patio space with a table and chairs throughout the summer months perfect for socialising and outdoor dining.


Guest access

Guests have access to the full property, conservatory, side and rear gardens. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe, of which details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.


There are free on-street parking bays directly outside of the property.

The property consists of steps to access the property at the front and rear with hand railings.


Travel cot, high chair and hair dryer provided.


Property is on a direct bus route to Edinburgh with the closest bus stop being a 3 minute walk away from the property.


There are two train stations in the near-by towns Longniddry and Prestonpans which can get you into the heart of Edinburgh for a day of sightseeing in under 20 minutes.


The property is dog friendly but we ask that dogs are supervised within the garden areas.

EMF Half Marathon Weekend
We came to stay for 4 nights to complete the EMF Half Marathon the location of the property was perfect. We visited several surrounding areas. Haddington, Gullane, Preston Pans, Fort Kinnaird Retail Park all within 10/15 mins drive. The property was clean and comfortable, communication was fabulous on the lead up and during stay. Our only bug was the wifi dongle really wasnt adequate this combined with poor mobile coverage in the general area (outwith the hosts control) made it even more frustrating. However it wouldnt stop us returning (for next years EMF) we loved your home, thank you.

Awful management, NOT dog friendly
Managent company atrocious, totally non-responsive; property somewhat dirty, especially in kitchen, no towels AT ALL and garden not secure for dogs unless you've got something like a rottweiler which couldn't get uner the gates. Issue with wondows which could have been resolved but property manager NEVER answeted a single query. AWFUL.
