Property is ideally located to explore Edinburgh. But the counter surfaces, windows, mirrors and other high touch surfaces were not properly cleaned.

It was a lovely stay. The house is spacious and enough for 5 people. We like the backyard and the kitchen mostly. We are the first guest but we liked it. Tram is exactly 13-15 min walk. Bus stop is also near by but not that frequent. On cleanliness washroom and cupboard can be little more but I am sure the host of this house is so good that he will take this point. Also I want to appreciate the host whose response was too quick. I was struggling with key to open and he advise me within a sec…. So I will recommend this place for your stay.

Good and prompt communication with the owner, and we were allowed to check in earlier, which we greatly appreciated. What disappointed us somewhat was the overall cleanliness of the property. The kitchen floor and cupboards were sticky. At first glance, the bathroom appeared clean, but the extractor fan was covered in dust and there were mould spots on the ceiling. A basic kitchen starter kit, including items such as a dishcloth, would also be appreciated. This basic provision was missing during our stay. In addition, it would be helpful to have an information folder with instructions for the appliances in the property and practical information, such as the quickest public transport connections. This helps guests feel more welcome and settled more quickly. With more attention to cleanliness and these practical details, the stay would have been much more enjoyable. On a positive note, the communication with the owner was friendly, efficient, and responsive throughout.
