"This is a well cared for older home that is a vital reminder of Edisto as it used to be. I hope this, and other homes like it will continue to be a part of the community for years and years to come. The house was clean and as pictured, the host was gracious and understanding of our needs. The only thing that was hard for me to do was to communicate back to the host during our stay to let her know for future guests small things that did not meet the description such as no blender or beach towels in the home and a need for more toiletries at the sinks and showers. Not a big deal as we brought everything we needed. I do not mention this as a complaint and not something I would put in a review for other guests. The beach chairs, the porch furniture, the outside shower and rinse off locations were wonderful, so many details that we enjoyed very much. Thank you to Roxanne (I think perhaps my inability to communicate adequately during the stay may have had something to do with my insufficient computer skills...) "This was my first visit to Edisto and hopefully not my last. We really enjoyed our time! This property has a fully stocked kitchen with all the equipment you need to cook. The beds were comfy. There were plenty of towels which is appreciated. We spent the most time on the screened-in porch. It was wonderful listening to the birds and watching deer. The owner of this property is so sweet. Any question we had was answered immediately. I would definitely come back and stay here!"

"This was our first visit to Edisto Beach, and what a fantastic hidden gem! We spent a wonderful week at Island Manor with our family including my mom who is 92. This house is so amazingly close to the beach. She was able to walk down easily and enjoy beach days! The icing on the cake was watching a loggerhead turtle building her nest one evening right in front of our home, a surreal experience! There is something quite special about this house, and we would love to return sometime in the future! Fantastic home and hosts"
