  • Located on Lansing-Edmond road one mile from the Endless Wall Trail, walking distance to Headhouse Trail and a 5 minute drive to Fayetteville and all the other outdoor adventure activities available at the New River Gorge. This is a clean and comfortable house for a vacation with all the comforts of home. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drink sitting in a rocker on the porch listening to nature. It has a well equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer and a gas grill. The house is cooled with window unit air conditioners. All linens are provided. It has two queen beds and two twin beds. Free wifi and satellite television. Discounts are available for longer stays.

Well Equipped & Conveniently Located

The kitchen is well equipped and the house felt welcoming and comfortable. It is conveniently located to the New River Gorge area and nearby Fayetteville. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Mountain getaway

Great location for exploring the park. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots, pans,and such. The house was great for family time. Loved reading and having coffee in the enclosed back porch. Fantastic location for family fun.

This mountain house (which has been in the owner’s family for @150 years) is in a perfect location for exploring New River Gorge National Park. The master bedroom was provided with comfortable and clean mattress and linens. We appreciated the excellent Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. Check out Bridge Brew Works and get delicious pizza at Pies and Pints. (Date of stay Oct. 1-4, 2025).

National Park visit

Visited National Park and did the bridge walk. Dr were everywhere and fun to watch. House was comfortable and week appointed. Plenty of towels etc.

This house is in the country away from busy roads. I appreciated how it felt like a really safe area with friendly neighbors around. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen stocked for cooking, and the washer and dryer were great to have right off the kitchen. The two bedroom doors don’t close, so be aware of that if that is important to you. It’s a very old house so just be aware that it has its quirks- like uneven flooring. The new barn door is nice to have to separate the upstairs and downstairs. I wish we could’ve used the fire pit outside because it looked so nice and relaxing. The owner is very prompt in responding and helpful. Great location and price!

Perfect location

My partner and I (and our American Foxhound) stated here over Labor Day Weekend 2024. This location is PERFECT for any activities you might want to be doing in the New River Gorge National Park or in the surrounding towns. While we didn’t wind up cooking this time, the kitchen is well appointed with excellent cookware and good appliances. We are already planning to book this house for next Labor Day Weekend!

Great location

Loved the location. Very clean & comfortable and a good night's sleep. Unfortunately we could only stay 1 night but we will be back so we can explore a lot more! Be sure to write down or screenshot the address & the code needed for check-in!! I wasted a lot of time trying to get that info from my phone because wifi is not good at all in that area. But that's why you go to this area, right?---to go off of the grid. Loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch & watching the fireflies. Thank you for having us!

Nice old home!

We only spent one night while passing through and visiting New River Gorge but the house was very comfortable and super cute. Reminded me of my grandmother's old house. Well stocked, comfy beds, plenty of towels. Close to restaurants in town and very close to a great and popular trail. Appreciated it being pet friendly. We had trouble and could never connect to the internet so no TV options but that was ok since we mainly just slept there. Would like to return to area and would definitely stat again.

The property is very conveniently located to hiking trails. Parking is a bit difficult if you have a large car. I had to back out of the driveway when there was another car parked on the property. Overall, the property was clean, but the carpet is overdue for replacement, due to age and stains.. I did get a nail in my heel from the transition piece between the dining room and the kitchen. That needs attention.

Easy to book, check-in and check out. The house is clean and the amenities are good with a fully equipped kitchen. The house is a charming farm house with obvious history and nostalgia. Location is fantastic for activities at New River Gorge. We enjoyed it stay very much!.
