"I honestly don't have enough good things to say about this place! From it's perfect location close to transport links, cafes/restaurants etc. its Spacious , comfortable rooms with everything you could need and easy communication with Hosts who were so accommodating with our stay allowing us a bit of extra time on checkout morning. Genuinely a 10/10 experience and one you won't regret if you book. We will definitely be back next time we visit Budapest. "

"The front desk staff was helpful. We were a bit disappointed in the room—while the balcony was nice, the door didn’t lock properly. The bed was hard and pillows and bedding were worn/need replacing. Small towels. Small shower. Rugs were in the way. Decor was small scale and uncomfortable. Lacked vanity and storage space. Small blocks of wood as night stands, no room for anything. Hallways were cluttered and looked like we were waking through the basement to get to our room. We weren’t told what time the cut off was for cleaning services and our room wasn’t serviced one day. One tiny elevator that was slow."

"Had a great stay at H2 Hotel Budapest. It's conveniently located within attractions like St. Stephen's Basilica and Szechenyi Chain Bridge, as well as bus stops / trams and even the Parliament House is just a few minutes walk. Hotel is very clean and breakfast is provided for the guests. Love the cleanliness and interior of the rooms. Will definitely stay here again!"

"Great hotel, beautiful rooms and very centrally located. It's right in the heart of the city with great restaurants right at your doorstep. From here you can walk across the river to the Buda castle or even to the old Ghetto. We initially planned to take public transportation everywhere but after realizing how small Budapest was, we just ended up walking everywhere. This hotel is classy with comfortable beds and large rooms. We also appreciated the fact that breakfast was included."

"Meh. Mediocre hotel and overpriced. My wife and I had a 2-night pre-cruise stay prior to a Danube river cruise. We booked a Premium Room with 1 King Bed and included Breakfasts. The bed was comfortable. The TV set did not turn on with the remote and, when I looked at the back, the power cord had been pulled out from the TV and I had to reach in to plug in it back in. There was a nespresso machine that does not have a power off switch, so the red power lighht was noticeable when sleeping. The bathroom was tiny with a high-up bathtub that was awkward and dangerous to step in/out of. There was a desk chair that was not an office-style with wheels and the legs squeaked as if they were about to break off. The breakfast was generic buffet-style and nothing to write home about. We had dinner one night and the food was dry, hard and not hot."

"We could not have been happier with the Oktogon hotel. Perfect location. Close to the metro underground and the fabulous tram and bus system. We purchased the 3 day metro pass as soon as we arrived. We went every where using the public transportation system. It’s an absolutely lovely hotel."
