"This hotel has to be one of the most beautiful I’ve ever stayed in. The room was big and luxurious, and the pool was one of the most gorgeous I’ve ever seen. Plus it’s open a generous 24 hours. Staff were very helpful and the restaurant food was delicious. I’m so glad I decided to stay two nights instead of one. Highly recommend! This place is worth every penny!"

"This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed....
