"This is a beautiful home in a very private neighborhood. The photos do not do this home justice; it is much more elegant, clean, and well-situated than a picture can capture. I will say you do need a car. While there are advantages to staying outside of Madrid (about 1.15 hours) for access to the nearby supermarket and restaurants, one needs a vehicle despite the short distance. Great comfortable beautiful hotel!

"The staff were wonderful, room was beautiful and the bed most comfortable. Because the city was making repairs on the wall that is a shared wall with the hotel, be sure to ask about a room that is further away. Not sure how long the repairs will continue through no fault of the hotel. All in all it is a lovely hotel with a great location. And very professional staff. A good stay in Avila!"

"We stayed at this property so we could be close to the historic walls of Avila & this location couldn't have been more perfect - actually built into the city walls! This property is stunning; I'm only sorry we didn't have enough time to properly explore it. The breakfast is incredible! Would definitely stay here again!"
