Karuna has breathtaking views, simply beautiful. Dining in their restaurant is an experience itself, the food is delicious, the staff is very friendly and attentive, a wonderful reminder of how proud I am to be of Filipino heritage. The service is very professional and prompt. The pathways have an inline since it’s located in the mountain so if you are unable to physically walk up and down it may not be suitable but if you have no physical limitations then look no further, this place will be amazing!

Karuna is exactly as described. They provided transport for our small children & pregnant mother from our apartment to the restaurant because the units are on a cliff. Prepare to do a lot of steps. But it is worth it. The views are spectacular. Staff are very accommodating. Food & drinks are excellent. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful Villa with a superior view

Wonderful villa with a magnificent view. Very near to vanilla beach.Tricycles are dangerous for children especially at this hilly road and they can not climb thw hotel's road. They have a hammock, 2 sunbeds, a table and chairs. Bathroom with shower is open air and nice. We loved the villa.

Karuna Villa made our first visit to El Nido a very pleasant vacation. Staff was super friendly and helpful with all our questions and needs. They were very responsive when requesting transportation to and from downtown El Nido or closer destinations. Our Joglo was roomy and comfortable enough for our family of 5. The view of the bay was amazing especially during sunsets. I would recommend staying in Joglo 2 since it is right in the middle of the main office and restaurant/pool. Karuna was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone visiting El Nido.

Hilltop Haven!

Amazing view from the top, great service and staff! The A frame loft (lumbung 2) was perfect for the 4 of us. It is one of the newer units. Wifi, netflix, transportation service, food, in room massage ... just fantastic! It does require a bit of effort to walk uphill. Good for cardio but may be a negative for some. Also , hand rails could be installed in certain areas to prevent accidental falls.

Everything about our stay was absolutely exceptional and exceeded our expectations. The staff was amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful. They went above and beyond anything we would have ever imagined to make our stay enjoyable and incredibly memorable. They were very flexible and extremely friendly. They had very great recommendations and were very familiar with the town and the tours. The view was breathtaking, one of a kind. It was incredibly relaxing with the bathtub and rainfall outdoor shower. The resort was very clean and easy to access all of the amenities. The room was absolutely stunning. The resort was built with every detail in mind and was an incredible value. I would recommend this resort to anyone with family or just wanting a romantic getaway. The food was amazing and the pool was picture perfect. They were willing to accommodate our special diet, and their customer service was over the top. Offered a private secluded vacation with the convenience of town and all of the amenities. The value is absolutely amazing, you will never regret staying here. We are already planning our trip for next year.

The place is not easily accessible to the main road. I know the villas are in a cliff but hard to go up and down to go to main road. They have a tricycle to bring you down to the main road . We were told that coming back up to the villa we have to use the intercom at the bottom of the cliff entrance and they will send a tricycle to take as up. We came back at 9:30 pm and the intercom was not working. My husband and I have to walk up in darkness. It was kind of scary. We were short of breath when we reached the front desk. The receptionist on duty said they did not hear anything that maybe the intercom run out of battery. She did apologized and she is really nice . I was not upset with her but I was upset with the situation. I will not recommend Karuna . I will recommend Maramegmeg resort.

A mountain side resort with stunning views! The location is close to the town center and nearby tourist attractions. The nearest beach (Vanilla Beach) is around 10-15 minutes from the property. We had a great time in Karuna because of the staff and their hospitality.

We woke up on the final day with no water. No one could shower and we had a flight to catch. Also the walkways are way to steep with no handrails. To get to restaurant you must climb approximately 20 steep steps. Completely unsafe, especially for a senior citizen!

Keep in mind check in time is at 300pm if you want to check in early I was charge 1200 Philippine also pick from the airport was 3000 thousand pesos private other than that I like the stay

Karuna is absolutely breathtaking. The view from our Juglo was stunning, overlooking both the ocean and the mountains. Bathing outdoors was a unique and unforgettable experience. The staff is super friendly Overall, a perfect 10 out of 10!
