"this was the worst place EVER, there was no communication with the owner and when we showed up we had no way of going in, there was an older gentleman there thst opened the door on his way out and got in contact with the property owner and thats how we were finally able to communicate but i would not recommend this place there was no wifi and the property was covered with mosquitos.....this is our first time and last we were inly there a couple of hours and left the 1st night and went somewhere...

"I loved everything about Olive. Management was attentive and friendly. The apartment itself was spectacular. Two bedroom two bathroom with ample living space. A nice balcony. The only downside to the hotel is it is very far from the city. Uber driver almost did not want to pick me up. The surrounding countryside is absolutely breathtaking. If you rent a car, I would highly recommend this location."

"The room was nice, and the staff, once we got in touch with them, were very helpful. The bedrooms are relatively quiet considering how noisy it was outside. Check in was a bit disappointing. Took a while to get in touch with the person to check us in, and then we had to wait a long time for someone to show up."

"If you're looking to have a nice place to sleep with all the basics, so you can spend all day discovering the city. The location is very central and has access to tons of transportation options."

"Luis is an excellent super host! He received us and explained in detail the amenities in his condo. The location is 5 minutes walk from bus station and in front of the main plaza and church. It’s beautiful condo with great balcony. Restaurant are very close, and supermarket. I will be back to Guatape and stay here! Lic Ingrid Cruz "

"This property is simply stunning! My cabin didn't have air conditioning but I assure you it's not needed here! The nights are cool and breezy and the days never get too hot. The restaurant is world-class and the staff is amazingly attentive. The only downside of the property is the ease of mobility throughout the property itself. The hotel and its' cabins are basically on a lake-side hill, so there are lots of elevation changes. You need to navigate long, sometimes steep cobblestone paths to get to/from your cabin to the restaurant and lakeside dock. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for people with mobility issues (the gravel paths are definitely not wheelchair friendly). I'm in pretty decent shape and getting around the property was definitely a workout!!! With that being said... There's excellent room service that will bring all the deliciousness of the restaurant to your cabin! I, personally, would gladly come back!"

"The hotel is an economy hotel, but was very acceptable for the price. I stayed 4 days. My room was small but comfortable. The bed was comfortable. The hotel does not have an elevator. The breakfast was made by the person on duty at the time when I came down in the morning. Always scrambled eggs, arepa, small piece of white bread, and coffee. My stay was during the slow season and I may have been the only guest in the hotel, so I can not comment on noise. Good WIFI. It is an easy walk to the El Penol town center. It is a good hotel, I would stay again. "
