Emma Gorge is part of the El Questro Wilderness Park and is off the GIbb RIver Road. You hike along the base of the gorge on a beautiful trail and are rewarded with a swim in the waterfall at the end of the gorge. Its likely you will hike on another sunny humid day and when you finally get there and strip down to you bathers and slowely wade into the clean, refershing water in a postcard perfect destination you will truly marvel at just how good life can get.

The Gibb River Road is on my Top 5 List of Places to Visit in Australia and you can read the full post on travelling the Gibb River Road here:http://www.seesomethingnew.com.au/australia/western-australia/going-rental-gibb-river-road
You pass this stunning torquoise pool on the walk to Emma Gorge at El Questro on the Gibb River Road. This shot was taken just before sunset and the colour is true to life!

We hiked in late afternoon, finished the day swimming under the waterfall as the light disappeared behind the gorge walls and we came back just after sunset with last light (We always hike with head torches). On our walk out we were serenaded by a symphony of frogs from different species! #blue
Emmas Gorge at El Questro Homestead along the Gibb River Road in the Kimberley region of Western Australia is a must visit for a swim in the beautiful waterhole.

There's a one hour walk to get to this gorge, and it would be amazing to see the waterfall at full power during the wet season, but even in the dry season it's a great place to cool off.
