"Excellent location and amenities, but beds and breakfast could use an update
Barceló Reforma is a really nice hotel right in the heart of Mexico City, offering all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The overall decor does feel a bit outdated—almost like stepping back into the 90s—but honestly, it’s well-kept and it didn't bother me at all.
I had a few minor issues during my stay that kept this from being a perfect 5-star experience:
The Bed: The mattress felt a bit old and overused, or perhaps it was just far too soft for my personal liking. It made it a bit tough to get fully comfortable.
The Breakfast Buffet: The buffet has a really great selection of options, but the hot food was unfortunately served at a cold temperature.
The Noise: Because the hotel is right on the bustling Paseo de la Reforma, the traffic noise at night can be quite loud and might disrupt your sleep if you are a light sleeper or trying to fully relax.
Despite these details, the great service, prime location, and excellent amenities still make this a fantastic choice in the city. I’m unsure to consider staying here again."
