"It is a classy old fashioned hotel with a nice open air lobby area and plenty of plants to match the natural beauty of Icod. It has real character and is worth visiting"

On a cobbled street in the sleepy town of Garachico, Hotel San Roque offers a truly unique experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of resorts, and stay in boutique comfort. The rooms are spartan but comfy. We stayed in one of the duplex rooms and the split-level layout made it feel spacious and unique. The staff were amazing -- helpful, patient, friendly, and accommodating. Not only would I recommend the place, I'd probably go back. Its a five min walk to the ocean and...

The hotel staff is very welcoming. The hotel is relatively small, has a local flavor, is very well maintained and very nice. The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of food. The hotel room is not large, but it is confortable. Location is great, across from the town`s beach and pool. There are many restaurants close by. Overall this hotel has everything that you should expect from a local hotel.

Wonderful hotel near Teide- full of magic of mountains, fantastic stars at night, best view of Teide. The internet is a little bit slow, but the other conditions is perfect

I really liked this place, despite some eccentricities. Estrella del Norte is run by a few generations of a Canarian family, and feels like a family-run establishment. The building is somewhat dated, but boasts fantastic views both ways, of the sea and nearby Teide volcano. They keep it spotlessly clean, and are very welcoming.
I stayed in what they called the Honeymoon Suite, top floor. My room had balconies on both sides. One of the eccentricities was a hot tub in the room that also served as...

The views from this hotel were amazing. Staff and other visitors were all very friendly. Nightly entertainment was fantastic and I LOVED watching the mid morning workouts in the pool. The instructor seemed very enthusiastic.
Our room was good, except we had two twins pushed together instead of a single bed. We also had large cockroaches in our room and on the patio. We stayed 3 nights and found at least 2 each night, 1 was on the bed. It made the room feel "dirtier" even though everything was...

Pros: Amazing adult area/pool, dining options, friendly staff, amenities
Cons: Isolated, located on a very steep hill which leads you to rely on calling the concierge to arrange transportation (difficult to get anyone to answer the phone), recommend a rental car

The hotel is spectacular from the moment you arrive. You will feel like you are privileged to be there as every small detail is taken care of between the food, the staff, and the facilities. Nothing is less than five star throughout.

Pleasant surprise to be upgraded to a 2 bedroom. The condo was well designed with large terrace - perfect for the gorgeous view. Kitchen was well appointed with everything needed to cook meals and there was plenty of storage for clothing and personal belongings. Infinity pool was spectacular along with plenty of seating options.
Communication at the resort and across the 3 Abama resorts could be improved. We had called the front desk to verify we could have dinner at The Ritz Carlton only to...

Spotlessly clean, helpful staff, nice pool. Location very close to beautiful seaside walks which also lead to seaside cafes. Reasonable price as well. If you don’t want to go out to eat they offer a plentiful buffet for ER 17 with health choices although veggies overcooked ( salad available) and not much seasoning in the food. Nevertheless convenient and value for price .

Amazing hotel, 8 pools, shows every night, very nice rooms. What we didn’t like is that we had to commit 180€ from the pool bar for using the pool bed and they charge 2€ Just for calling the waitress. But overall 5* !!
