"From the free water and free breakfast (and 5E credit towards a "welcome drink"), this value-conscious hotel delivers comfort and convenience to the road-weary traveler. Front desk staffed by at least one fluent English speaker, generous breakfast buffet with leisurely weekend hours. Spacious bathroom with walk-out shower. Parking adjacent to hotel. After a week of Air BnB key exchanges and post-stay clean ups, it was nice to stay in a real hotel for a change. The restaurant had a series of eight colorful (abstract-ish) portraits that caught our attention. When none of the other guests could identify the subjects, we checked with the front desk, who promptly gave us the information we wanted: The "Kunst faces" of the Bauhaus movemet (early 20th century) included Wassily Kandinski, Walter Gropius, Gertrud Arndt, Paul Klee, Laszio Mohly-Nagy, Gunta Stolzi, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Lyonel Feininger, and Brund Taut. "Quiet area on the site of Gotha town. This hotel is after renovation, former military building. Quality is on high level. "

"Very clean and safe hotel. Spacious room. Excellent shower. Booked as a solo traveller and for some reason received a (small/narrow) single person duvet on a double bed. Made sleeping very uncomfortable and cold. Hotel a la carte restaurant was closed, only a buffet available.... Was very poor quality food and also not cheap. "

"Very nice hotel near the main street. The restaurant was very good with traditional Thuringian food. It looks like the restaurant is used by locals too. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options available. The room was functional and the bathroom seemed newly renovated. The hotel had a sauna, but I didn’t use it."
