Top Elgin Hotel Reviews

Days Inn by Wyndham Erie

10/10 Excellent

"Great place for family vacation"

Adorable Condo Close To Ski Hills At Peak N Peek Resort Recently Renovated

10/10 Excellent

"This condo is honestly better than what I had expected! Everything was provided, I needed for nothing! This property is outstanding!Cindy is an excellent hostess. She responded promptly to every concern before my stay. I felt safe with a very quiet, private stay.Thank-You Cindy!"

Peek'n Peak Resort Trademark Collection by Wyndham

10/10 Excellent

"The room was absolutely incredible, the view of the hills and the trees changing from our balcony were breathtaking! The staff was all super helpful, including the folks at Bistro210. My wife has celiac disease and they were extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to her dietary needs! This is definitely our new tradition for our anniversary, and we'll have to come back when there's snow to see the resort in full swing!"

Clarion Pointe Near Erie Casino

10/10 Excellent

"My wife and I have been to a lot of places and stayed at many different hotels. This hotel is a Clarion Pointe property of Choice Hotels. It's a chain hotel, run according to a chain's playbook. So imagine my surprise when I read a number of negative recent reviews telling me in no uncertain terms that this was a terrible place. I came and stayed in late September 2026. According to the Choice Hotels website website, this is what this hotel chain is supposed to be about: Experience contemporary design touches, on-demand connectivity, modern fitness essentials and curated food and beverage options—from a complimentary better-for-you breakfast to premium beverages for purchase at our marketplace. This is exactly what it is. The room was spotless, the bathroom was not super high-grade but was also spotless. The room had been recently renovated. I couldn't see a single reason for all the negativity. It's a Clarion Pointe hotel. It isn't the Radisson. It isn't a fleabag, or even an economy motel option. It's not a place you'll be ashamed to take your wife or family member or work contractor or church group or kid's hockey team to. The staff, especially Sam and Bill at the front desk, is very good at what they do, and always ready to help. There's plenty of peace and quiet. It's clean. It's in an accessible location, Bottom line: this was a nice hotel and I'd stay here again if I come back to Erie."

Hidden Cove

10/10 Excellent

"This was a anniversary trip a nice place sits right by the water but there is no ladder for you to get in and out of the water, and it is perfect for 2 adults, no place for kids other than the futon couch in the living room, I would definitely rent this again and if you are short you will definitely need the steep stoole to get in bed as bed is high up"

Step back in time farm house

8/10 Good

"Great proximity to the freeway and only 4 minutes to the lake.Plenty of room for the two, but four would have been fine as well.No neighbors next to or behind, which we like.Great wineries near by.Only 25 minutes to Erie Bayfront. We had a blast! Our only input would be better cookware. That's why we stay at VRBOs"
