Cape Fear Getaway

We had a very nice time at the cabin! Large and plenty of room! The stairs were good exercise for our ol' bodies! The area was a beautiful location! Very peaceful! We enjoyed sitting down by the river and watching the occasional boats that would go by! We visited the wineries, and walked through the quaint town of Elizabethtown. A must lunch or dinner out is the San Jose Mexican restaurant!

All the men in the family husband, sons grandsons had a men’s vacation.. unfortunately, they didn’t catch any fish due to the hurricane and flooding, but they had a great time bonding.. My husband and I have stayed in the small cabin. My son loved it and said they were definitely go back!! The owner is awesome and very kind and informant

River Cabin

Everybody loved the cabin and the layout of the area. Enjoyed fishing, cooking and just hanging out. Mr.Bollinger was very attentive to any questions we had. We would definitely stay again.Thanks again!

Our stay was very nice. We didn’t however have any kitchen towels or dishcloths or any hand towels for the bathrooms. We were supposed to clean before we left but found no cleaning supplies. I cleaned the best I could with paper towels and hot water.

Peaceful getaway

We enjoyed our time on this riverfront property. It was well maintained and clean. We were able to use the provided canoe and hot tub (additonal fee on the latter). We also enjoyed fishing on the dock (no bites) and the doggos enjoyed swimming in the river. The deck is massive and was really nice for evenings. We lucked into some nice weather and also enjoyed a local vineyard and made a trip to a Wilmington. It was a pleasant stay and we would return again.

Quiet Family Getaway

The outdoor space with this property is fabulous! It also has river amenities of a canoe and fishing boat. This was our second stay and I'm sure we will return. The owners are very attentive and kind. If you are a wine lover, there is a vineyard within just a few minutes and another within 20 minutes. Both do wine tasting and one has a great restaurant. It's also located close to the grocery store and other restaurants. Check it out!

Cozy and secluded

This place was amazing!. The house was cozy and had everything we needed. The decks were amazing there were several to choose from to relax at different times of the day. There is a main huge one that would be perfect for summertime and having kids set up air mattresses on it and sleep under the stars . Also it is large enough to host a venue. Will definitely be repeat renters. Can't wait to be here in the summertime. It was so relaxing and the owner was available to us anytime we needed him. Thanks for the wonderful stay Dale. Breathe taking

We truly enjoyed our stay me and my husband loved the peace and quiet and i constant communication with the host throughout our stay. It was the perfect way to bring in my birthday . The house was cleaned, smelled good too. The room was heated for us when we got there . Didnt get a chance to use the hot tub or fire pit. But everything was described like posting , i enjoyed laying in the hammock, n sitting in the rocking chairs .We are definitely comming back for Christmas if its available. I recommend this place to anyone looking to spend sometime enjoying nature by the Rivah . 5 stars from us thank u again to the hosts for all you do.

Perfect

We rented THE RIVA 181 Getaway with the expectation of getting some rest and maybe do a little fishing. It rained all Saturday so we just lazed around and watched old movies. It was perfect and the place was perfect for it too. We enjoyed the quiet and the space. The place was beautiful in all the Fall colors outside and the inside had everything we could need or want. Cable TV up stairs and ROKU down stairs. We bought a pizza and some takeout and just enjoyed each others company. My wife really loves the place and we both plan to use it again soon. I would like to bring the kids and grand kids there over the summer. I strongly recommend THE RIVA 181 Getaway for both quiet time and fun time. Thank You Dale

Bringing Back Family Time

We booked a Labor Day weekend getaway for my family to escape the electronics and enjoy eating dinners together. We are all so busy with our lives that dinners are all spread out. So a fishing weekend away at a cabin sounded great! We are 6 adults and require 4 bedrooms the listing states 4 bedrooms but 1 of the bedrooms is open and you have to walk through it to get to the master bedroom and to get to go up and down from 1st to 2nd floor because the stairs are right in the room, so there is no privacy it needs to be configured differently. There were little ants on the counters and table constantly so we mixed up some dish soap and apple cider vinegar in a cup to draw them to that while we were there. The outside could use regular power washing to eliminate all the bugs and cobwebs all over the windows, house, and decks. The house is quite a bit in on a long narrow dirt road, so it's best to have at least an SUV, especially if it rains as it did when we were there that dirt road became very slick, and no place to go if another vehicle is coming in the opposite direction. The grounds are beautiful, I feel they need to concentrate on the inside now and maybe all the owners can pool together and work on getting the road paved, as I know it had been flooded just before we got there from Hurricane Debby. The host was very nice answered every question I had, and was very polite. Regardless, I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet!!

Wonderful cabin to relax and unwind

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The outdoor space was beautiful and the perfect place to relax, BBQ and play some horseshoes or cornhole. Our son also enjoyed fishing off the dock. We will definitely be visiting again!
