"Book this now, you will not regret it! Beautiful home that you can tell was built , decorated and maintained with love. The view is gorgeous! Perfect for taking in while sipping your coffee in the morning. Although it was too cold this trip, I have stayed here before and the pool is amazing. The hosts are fantastic! So inviting. They make us feel like friends. And even though I am from just upstate and see farms and farm animals, it was awesome to get the farm tour. If you don’t smile interacting with the cows and watching the chickens run…well let’s be real, you will be smiling like a kid. The location is remote enough for a relaxing , undisturbed, quiet getaway yet close to soooo many things to do! We loved this place and will definitely be repeat customers. "

"We usually explore a city every year for our anniversary. This year, on our 12th year anniversary, we decided that we wanted to go somewhere where we could be alone and surrounded by nature. This was the absolute perfect getaway for us and we plan to come back with the kids!"

"We had a wonderful stay at this charming house in a lovely small river town! It was the perfect spot for “home base” for our family reunion held in Karbers Ridge — plenty of space, comfortable, and clean. We enjoyed exploring the area, walking to grab an ice cream, look at the river and a short drive away for delicious meals at Strickland Seafood in Paducah, and a lunch at Patti’s 1880’s, and we also had some fun at Harrah’s in Metropolis. This home made a perfect base for making family memories. Highly recommend!"

"Even better than the pictures. The cabin is an 1850s cabin that was reassembled on the property. It was adorable. Had everything we needed. The area is beautiful. There are several cabins and tree houses on the property but each has more than enough privacy from the next. We came with our two young daughters and they had a blast. We had a resident kitty that hung out on our porch, and it was the friendliest cat I’ve ever met! Kids were in love and had so much fun playing with the cat all weekend. We only stayed two nights so next time we will stay at least 4 to enjoy the property a little longer. The owners are very friendly. They live on the other side of the property and they even let our kids meet their farm animals. The outpost that you check in at has a great gift shop to bring home a souvenir. Very close to garden of the gods. Grocery store about 30 minutes away. We will definitely be back again! We went to Garden of the Gods and Bell Smith Springs. Highly recommend both. Southern Illinois is a hidden gem and in my opinion and so was our cabin. "

"The cabin was very roomy & comfortable. The view of the river from back deck was great. It was a very peaceful trip. We enjoyed the trail at the end of road. The area was close to the places we went to see."
