"We rented this cabin for 5 nights with the intention of being in a remote location for the purpose of rest and relaxation. We drove in from the south at I-64 in Lewisberg. It is a windy drive on Hwy 219 that takes you straight to a gravel side road that leads to the cabin. One thing to note is your options for groceries coming from this direction is a Walmart in Lewisberg which is about an hour and 45 minutes away from the cabin or a small IGA store about 40 minutes from the cabin. Another important thing to note is there is little to no cell service from I-64 to the cabin so it’s best to familiarize yourself with your directions before leaving. When we arrived at the cabin we discovered a beautiful, well maintained, well stocked cabin with a beautiful view of mountains all around us. The basement was the most impressive side feature of the cabin with the movie theater, pool table, air hockey, darts and golf putting game. We were able to relax, enjoy the views and explore the area during our stay. Another side note is that we stayed here in late April so there was hardly anyone in the area because this area is mainly a snow ski area. Lastly, I want to thank our host Andrew for being so kind and helpful in answering all of my questions. "

"We had a wonderful stay! The house was cozy, clean and exactly what we were looking for. We went to Snowshoe and the drive there was easy from the house. As the listing mentions, the driveway is very steep but we had no issues with AWD even though there was still snow on the ground. Highly recommend for families or anyone looking for a getaway near Snowshoe!"

"We had an amazing stay at this cabin in Slaty Fork! The location was perfect just a short drive to Snowshoe Mountain, making it super convenient for skiing. The cabin itself was clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay.The fireplace and hot tub made for the perfect spot to relax after a long day on the slopes, and the scenic surroundings added to the charm.
