"When I arrived the hotel was very clean and the young lady at the front desk was very pleasant. I was early, so I waited about 30 minutes before my room was ready to check in. I was doing a quick shower and running straight out as I was heading over to Morehouse College. When I arrived back in my room, I turned on my air and took another shower and changed for the evening. I noticed the bed was a little low for me, and that the air conditioning was not cooling off the room, and there was a clicking noise. Well, I ordered some food, and still the room was not cooling. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone was not working. I tried to find the number online with no success, as I getting the Large IHG call center for reservations. Finally, a person in the reservations gave me the number to the front desk, but it ended being another Holiday Inn down the road. Needless to say, I had to redress go to the lobby to inform them how hot my room had become. Waiting for someone to come look at the ac only to inform me that they were sold out and would try to move me to another room. Finally, someone came back to my room and moved me to another hotel room. I was frustrated as I was hot and exhausted. Overall the room was adaquate."

"The property is beautiful and has so much potential. I did enjoy my stay. I lived the fact that there were restaurants on the property, especially Starbucks. I feel that they could have done a lot more in terms of keeping the property clean. I had a spill stain on my floor. The hallways and elevators needed cleaned, and the pool area was littered either old used and abandoned towels. Additionally, the bar area was closed in the pool area. The location is convenient. Walkable to the aquarium. There are also many eateries nearby."

"I booked this stay expecting to enjoy the pool for my birthday, only to find out it was closed in the middle of May. This was extremely disappointing because the pool was a major reason I chose this location. Guests should be clearly informed ahead of time if amenities like the pool are unavailable. I would appreciate management addressing this situation appropriately."

"The communication between Expedia and The Starling Atlanta was impeccable. Honestly, this was one of the strongest parts of the entire experience. About a week before our trip even began, the hotel staff had already begun accommodating requests and ensuring that our stay would feel special. That level of assurance before arrival immediately exceeded my expectations and demonstrated true professionalism and hospitality. As someone who has stayed at many hotels over the years, this experience reminded me why I continue finding myself booking with Hilton properties. The feeling of being cared for before even arriving is something travelers truly value. Upon arrival, the greeting was warm, welcoming, and informative. Even the valet attendant took the time to thoroughly explain the parking options instead of simply pushing valet service. That may seem small to some, but for travelers balancing experiences and budgets, transparency and honesty go a long way toward making a trip feel enjoyable instead of stressful. Walking into the lobby was honestly breathtaking. The design team clearly paid attention to detail from top to bottom. The atmosphere felt upscale, artistic, and immersive all at once. If I had one design suggestion, it would simply be incorporating the hotel branding or logo subtly into the carpeting or tile work to further strengthen the identity of the property. Check-in was smooth and professional. The staff gave us a thoughtful introduction to the area 8.9/10"
