"Lovely Villa, very clean with everything you needed, outside area & pool not as private as we would have liked as we shared space with the Villa next door, quite an odd set up really, as there was a walkway past our pool to the villas behind us. It was kind of open plan!! The family in the next door Villa were very nice people & we're busy doing other things most of the time so we weren't in each others space for much of our stay, but I imagine it could be different if you wanted a quiet break and there was a noisy family next door. Villa was within easy reach of Nidri town and local restaurants beaches by car. All in all we enjoyed our break, lovely friendly local people, beautiful island. "

"Whatever it is that you have been choking on, Mandragoras will have you breathing again! This concept hotel has so much soul that even the pictures you are staring at now – dumbfounded, hardly believing your luck – are going to fade the minute you set your foot in it. The best holiday ever, and a lot of it had to do with how we have been treated, the fabulous advice we have been given, the cordial talks we have had after long days of exploring. We were welcomed like family and when the time came to leave we parted like best friends. Subtle yet simple, this is an unlikely place for the posh crowd, rather this is the place for unassuming travelers, who take genuine interest in everything local. It is the place for those who value true down-to-earth luxury with no hint of opulence and appreciate how remarkably affordable it can be. And we loved the architecture! Rarely you find such respect for the environment, such consideration for guests' privacy, such clever landscaping and functional layout that will keep you marveling day-in day-out, is this genius or what? The location is convenient and quiet, off the busy road but very close to main routes, a short walk to Nydri town and KTEL bus stop. The views in Lefkada are truly exquisite, you are so spoilt for choice that even your postcard view from the terrace will seemingly become all too ordinary over the course of your stay.
