Stepaway Vacation Rentals- Eagle Watch

"If view is what you are looking for, this property has an excellent view of the lake. The property was clean and the furnishings were adequate. Beds were comfortable and the bedding was very nice. The furniture was adequate but dated. Make sure to bring your own salt and pepper as the property does not provide. Also bring extra garbage bags as the property only provides one bag for garbage and one for recycling. There also needs to be some improvements made to the wooden stairs leading to the dock. The property provides several kayaks and a John boat and motor. The boat is quite old but it did the job. Fishing was pretty good. So I give this property a 10 for the view and an over all rating of an 8."

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was clean and comfortable. We really only used it to sleep and shower, as we have family in the area where we spent most of our time. Check in and check out were easy but make sure to read the emails sent before your stay so you pack everything you need (towels, etc). Parking right outside the cabin. Pretty quiet, even though other cabins are very close."

"There are three small units together in a row. Unit 3 is the one you want because of the view. Fishing down by the docks really can not be done because of weed cover and shallow water. There are boat rental companies in the area that will deliver a boat to the docks. The lake is not as heavily used as the eagle river chain of lakes. Saying all of this. Please check with the host to see if the 3 docks down a rather steep hill can be used."

"While the cabin was clean and comfortable, the area outside around the tri-plex was under construction. It was a longer walk to the lake/dock than we had anticipated. The boat dock was new and efficient. The lake itself was difficult to fish due to all of the under water growth."

I contacted him regarding our upcoming stay a month before our reservations, to send a check. He always answered the phone, even though he was out in the field. Shelby was wonderful, on the office-end of arrangements. Eagle Bay has a beautiful view of the East Bay of Little St. Germain, with a peaceful channel to explore. The home easily holds our family of 10. The kitchen and dining space have a panoramic view of the lake and allow for many "cooks" and diners! We love the pretty big table. We don't eat out at because we love to be "on the lake" as much as possible. We rent the pontoon, bring a jet ski, canoe, kayak, and floaties. Quite the flotilla. The men fish a lot from the canoe, or by wading. The property is clean and well-maintained. In turn, we leave it spit-spot clean, out of respect to the homeowners."
