"A present surprise in a quite residential area but just a short walk into the small beautiful old town. We enjoyed a beer at a bar in the town square before walking back to the Hotel for Dinner. Charming restaurant with very nice food and a super helpful waiter who spoke excellent English and made us very welcome. Breakfast was simple but adequate. "(Hostel in Portbou) A basic hostel. 3/5. The room was quite tidy. There were hairs in the shared wc+shower, otherwise quite tidy. The beds were ok (springmadrass), the beddings were quite sheer and had quite strong smell (due to washing powder?). The walls let through all noises from outside and other rooms. The room&house had a stale smell. The receptionists spoke rather good english. The breakfast included 2 toasts, croissant and warm drink."
