Excellent location!

We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely cabin on Fall Lake. Beautiful location and accommodations. We would stay here again and highly recommend this spot!

Best lake experience ever

This is an absolutely wonderful house, with spectacular views and amenities. Dock and beach area are very nice, fire pit area was perfect and the overall feeling of the property is serene and beautiful. Best lake house we’ve ever rented.

Perfect Getaway

Quiet BWCA getaway with all the comforts of home. Great fishing and swimming. Room to spread out and relax. Wonderful views! We had a blast and will be back.

Friends gather to paddle and hike

A spacious, comfortable, sparkling clean home on a great lot on beautiful Fall Lake, less than an hour's paddle to BWCA. The location allowed us to paddle every morning and hike in the afternoons. Plenty of games for the evening hours - and a great kitchen in which to prepare meals.

this is a great property , Great Lake to swim and fish , sand beach with dock. Cabin [home] is very large enough room for the five of us. great kitchen and has everything you need.

A lake dream home

We enjoyed our lake getaway with family. Such a beautiful location to gather. All the comforts of home with wonderful lake views. Our Hosts were so gracious and approachable. Fishing trip

Absolutely gorgeous. Everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. It was more than enough space. Our host was a text message away with quick response if I had any questions. Very helpful with information about boat rental and places in the area. My family Absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Family gathering

404 Shady Lane was a perfect for our family get-together. A beautiful outdoor setting with a lovely, well-appointed home and a peaceful porch overlooking the lake. Good games, a great book selection, and plenty of options for getting out on the water. Definitely something for everybody.

Grandmother’s Vacay

The cabin home on Fall lake is a beautiful property. Outdoors we used the canoe , the dock, swam in the water, had nighttime bonfires and sunned on the spacious deck. The indoor furnishings are beautiful and spacious. Loved the laundry room too! My daughter’s family joined me , and the grandgirls loved it all . Highlight was picking raspberries , And kayaking into the BWCAW

Perfect property and hosts!

My family including a 15 year old boy and a dog stayed for the week. We had an excellent time despite the down turn in fishing. The property was immaculate, organized, and beautiful. The hosts were communicative and attentive. I can’t say enough about the property. It was the nicest accommodations we’ve ever stayed in within the Boundary Waters. We are already booked for next year, that should say enough. Highly recommended… except for the week we intend on returning of course!

A Slice of Heaven

This was rated by my family as one of the best places we have ever stayed! The home is that - a home - not a typical rental that looks good in photos but isn't comfortable. There is space for being together or getting some quiet downtime and then there is the beautiful Fall Lake. We did use the kayak and canoe - next trip we will rent another kayak or two. Owners were very communicative and the house was VERY well stocked and organized. We will be back!

Lovely Experience!

We had a wonderful girl’s weekend spent at this property! It was in a beautiful area overlooking Fall Lake. We felt like we were right in the middle of a snow globe! We enjoyed snowshoeing on the lake, making meals in the beautifully appointed kitchen, and relaxing by the cozy fireplace. It was everything we were hoping it would be with its beautiful scenery and relaxing and cozy atmosphere-- a wonderful escape. The hosts were extremely accommodating and wonderful to communicate with. We would definitely book again! :)

Our perfect family retreat

The Boundaries Lake Home is the only place we have ever stayed in Ely, and this was our fourth visit. No need to look any further! This home has everything to accommodate us (one of whom is wheelchair-bound), our adult children, and our grandchildren. The home is beautiful, and has absolutely everything we need to gather for quality family time. The space is generous for a large family meal and game night, with plenty of smaller spaces to curl up with a book away from the crowd. The deck is large and offers a beautiful view of the property and Fall Lake. Kial and Dave are amazing hosts, and Kial checks in to make sure we have everything we need, and is always available if we have a question. This is definitely a 5-star property with 5-star hosts, and we enthusiastically recommend it to anyone traveling to Ely and the Boundary Waters. We are grateful for our time with our family in this beautiful home!

They Thought of Everything

We have rented several cabins Up North in MN over many years. This cabin was hands down the best of them all! It was clean and tastefully decorated. The gas burning "wood stove" was easy to turn on and off as needed to give us a quick warm up on chilly mornings before it got hot outside. The kitchen was very well appointed and each cabinet was labeled so it was a snap to find everything we needed. They even had recycling facilities in the garage! The owners were easy to reach via text throughout the visit and questions were answered right away. We love to visit nearby Ely, MN and it was an easy ride into town. There are many things to see and do in the area, but it was also fun just to hang out in the cabin and on the lake. We would love to come back to visit again.

Fall on Fall Lake

I cannot count how many times I heard family members comment about how nice the home is and how beautiful the view is, especially from the deck. The leaves were starting to turn, but not yet at peak color. All appliances are top notch, the cookware looks like it is nearly new, and all utensils were is great condition. There is a large supply of dry firewood for the fire pit (and even a wagon to use to transport it from the storage area to the pit - much appreciated), extra propane for the grill, and dog-friendly touches (metal grates on the screen doors, locking gate on the deck, paw wipes if it is rainy/muddy). My spouse was already talking about "next time" before we left to go home. It is safe to say we will return.

Luxury in the wilderness!

We travelled to the BWCA area from North Carolina for new experiences and the serenity of the wilderness. We stayed two weeks with two nights in the BWCA halfway into our stay. (Canoeing and camping in the BWCA was amazing!) This home was perfect and had everything we could have asked for in a peaceful wilderness getaway. The home itself is very nice, clean, and well stocked. Lots of books, games and other things to do when not on the lake or outside at the fire pit. We rented a motor boat from a local outfitter and kept it at the dock. So glad we did. The town of Ely was great. Many casual and excellent restaurants, shops, etc. The Dorothy Molter (Root Beer Lady) Museum was an unexpected delight. Could not have had a better experience. Kial, the owner was very attentive, helpful and caring. We feel very lucky and grateful for an amazing vacation. I can offer the highest of recommendations for the Boundaries Lake Home!

Very happy with our stay! Perfect back deck view of the peaceful, quiet lake. Well stocked & organized kitchen. Kids loved swimming in the lake and canoeing. Saw loons, eagles & a black bear near the property. Close to town & tourist attractions, yet far enough away to feel like a remote getaway. Had a great week!

This is a lovely home, very well appointed for a VRBO. The photos and descriptions were accurately representative of the property. The outdoor spaces accommodated water front activities and campfires and camping opportunities.It afforded a very special time for three generations of family!

Beautiful cabin on Fall Lake

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and sits directly on Fall Lake which is part of the BWCA! The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The deck off the back had direct views of the lake. The owner was communicative during our entire visit and helped restore the internet when a lightning strike hit the dish. We launched our kayaks from the dock and fished every day. There was even a fish cleaning station down by the water. I would highly recommend this cabin if you’re looking to take a trip to Ely, MN which the cabin is just a short drive into town.

The Boundary Waters Fall Lake home proved to be a wonderful vacation home for my family. It was big, beautiful, and stocked with everything we needed to make our visit great. Kial was a delight to visit with and responded quickly to all my inquiries. The view was perfect and being able to catch fish right from the dock was so fun.

Excellent Stay and Wonderful Time

We have stayed in numerous VRBO rentals around Ely and in Northern Minnesota and all were excelent but this is the one we enjoyed the most. The house is great in all ways and the deck, yard, and firepit were perfect for us as was the location near the BWCA. Hosts were great to work with and we intend to visit again.

Fishing opener

This is a beautiful, well-maintained home that far exceeded our expectations. The location was ideal for accessing the BWCA and Fall Lake fishing spots. We were very pleased with the layout of the home. The screen porch and expansive deck were favorite spaces.

Hygge on the Boundary

The cabin was so comfortable that we knew we would enjoy our visit the moment we opened the door. The property on the boundary of the Boundary Waters was great and had everything we needed to make a wonderful wintertime visit with family. With our binoculars and the binoculars on the porch windowsill, 2 of us at a time could view the wolf running across the snowcovered lake. Our hosts were so welcoming which made our journey special.
