Perfect family stay
We enjoyed our weeklong stay - the guesthouse was very comfortable and private. The heating system was good and easy to control... the kitchen was well-equipped. We enjoyed visiting the farm animals, the playhouse up the hill, seeing how cheese was made and the trails in the area.

Well-equipped apartment in a beautiful area
We very much enjoyed our stay at the farm. The owners were very helpful both before our arrival and after. The flat is very well equipped, with anything you might need. There are very nice supermarkets in Elzach (we went to ReWe) as well as a small shop at a petrol station close by. There is a bus stop very close to the house, in case you decide to use bus transportation. From the farm itself you can buy various things, such as eggs, cheese, various meat products, and even pasta and pasta sauce :-) Our apartment was up a few stairs, so make sure you check if that's important for you.

Excellent property well located with friendly owners
What a wonderful place - not just a place to stay but a place to have a true black forest farm experience for kids and adults alike. We had the best time here and will surely be going back! The actual apartment is spacious, clean and has the most beautiful views. It is a short distance from the town of Elzach. The owners are so friendly and helpful; really going out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. My kids loved helping feeding the animals, milking the cows and seeing how cheese is made - what a wonderful experience for kids. We were a short 20 mins drive from Schonach where we went sledging. I really can't praise this place enough!

A welcome retreat for the traveller. Friendly and informative hosts. Lovely and scenic surrounds.
A great place to stay. Three nights insufficient. Comfortable and spacious apartment. Owners Irmgard and Bernhard welcoming, helpful and interesting. Farm engrossing. Watched cows being milked and Bernhard make cheese. Consumed cheese and home cured pork. Local forest walk serene and beautiful. Much to see and do in the area. A wonderful place to stay.

Spacious, quiet, authentic experience
We stayed for three nights in early September 2016. We loved the tranquillity of this hilly farm and enjoyed staying among the cows, chickens and sheep. The soft cowbells lulled us to sleep and the roosters gently woke us up. We used this as a base to explore the Black Forest region. The apartment was very spacious and clean, equipped with everything we needed. There were two large bedrooms, a large living area with dining table, a kitchen with table, large bathroom and a hall connecting everything. We liked the air and light coming from the skylight windows. We would stay again and recommend to others!!

Great location, fantastic house, good cheese
This was the most complete house I ever stayed in. Everything was on hand in the kitchen and the bath room. The kitchen is a bit small, but the spacey living room made up for that. Nice terras with a nice view of the farm. Great location if you want to explore the black forrest for visits and hikes. A lot of villages, swimming pools, attractions to see within a one hour drive, in all directions. Participating on the farm is optional, but we recommend to take at least the full tour with Bernhard. We also recommend the farm cheese, particularly with chives or chili!

Schöne Wohnung, sehr nette Vermieter
Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und hat jeglichen Komfort. Man kann vor Ort Eier, Käse, Brot, Schnaps, etc. erwerben. Für Kinder gibt einen Spielplatz und Hoftiere.

Perfekter Urlaub auf dem Bauernhof
Wir (2 Erwachsene + Kinder 4 und 8 J.) haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen! Die Kinder haben sich mit den (Jung-)Tieren des Hofes angefreundet und konnten sich am Ende gar nicht trennen. Wir Eltern haben die Produkte aus dem Hofladen (Käse, Milch, Eier etc. - alles direkt vom Hof) genossen. Gemeinsam haben wir die Umgebung erkundigt und es war für alle etwas dabei: spannende Ausflüge durch den Schwarzwald und die Dörfer der Umgebung, Freibadbesuche usw. Wir überlegen schon, wann wir wiederkommen!

Séjour à la ferme
Point quasi central par rapport aux diverses excursions que nous voulions faire. Logement très agréable et confortable. Il est également bien équipé, et très propre. Les hôtes sont cordiaux et réactifs.

Schöne FeW auf dem Bauernhof in toller Umgebung
Sehr nette Gastgeber, man kann auf dem Bauernhof mithelfen (Tiere füttern, melken, Traktor fahren), das ist für die Kinder toll. Die FeWo ist sauber und gut ausgestattet, in der Nähe gibt es viele schöne Ausflugsziele. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Viel zu kurz da gewesen
Wir hatten eine schöne Ferienwohnung auf einem tollen Hof. Die Kinder durften jeden Tag im Stall helfen und haben auch alles gezeigt bekommen. Der Spaß kam für die Kinder auch nicht zu kurz. Vom Hof aus kann man so viele tolle Ort erreichen, anschauen und Besichtigen. Auch der Hofladen ist toll. Der Käse schmeckt super. Auch der selbst gemachte Schnaps ist lecker. Wir werden wider kommen!

Es war der erste Bauernhofurlaub für meine Frau und unsere Kinder. Es war perfekt. Die Gastgeber waren überaus freundlich und haben die Kinder liebevoll in die Arbeit mit den Tieren eingebunden. Von Tiere füttern, Käse machen oder einfach nur mit den Katzen schmusen war alles dabei. Habe Sie auch direkt weiterempfohlen. Auch wir wollen unbedingt noch einmal kommen. Erholsamer Aufenthalt auf dem Dorerhof
Die Familie war sehr nett. Mein Enkel war begeistert von den Tieren, und dass er auf dem Bauernhof mit helfen durfte. die Lage des Hofes wr für uns Ideal, da wir von hier aus unsere Tagesziele bequem erreichen konnten. Ausflüge habe wir gemacht zu deztschlands größten Wasserfall, zur Mineralienhalde Clara, nach Rulantika und in den Schwarzwaldzoo. Ein insgesamt sehr schöner Urlaub.

Aufenthalt in Elzach bei Familie Winterhalter
Familie Winterhalter war freundlich, nett und aufgeschlossen. Bei Fragen konnten wir uns immer an sie wenden. Die Ferienwohnung hatte unsere Vorstellungen mehr als übertroffen. Auch der Anschluss des Hofladens sowie die Möglichkeit auf dem Bauernhof mit in die Arbeit reinschauen zu können fanden wir sehr toll. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und können es nur Empfehlen nach Elzach zur Familie Winterhalter zu fahren.

Wir verbrachten unseren Wanderurlaub im schönen Elzach. Die Vermieter sind super nett. Im Hofladen gab es leckere Produkte aus eigener Herstellung. Vom frischen Frühstücksei über Käse bis hin zum Holzofenbrot. Bei einem geselligen Abend probierten wir zusammen mit den Vermietern selbst gebranntes Kirschwasser. Wir können die Ferienwohnung sehr empfehlen und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder.

Gute Lage und saubere Wohnung
Wir haben bei unserem Urlaub eine saubere Wohung in sehr schöner Lage im Schwarzwald vorgefunden. Die Familie Winterhalter ist freundlich und bietet im Hofladen eigens produzierten Käse und Brände an. Wer interessiert ist, kann sich deren Herstellung zeigen lassen. Insgesamt liegt der Ort sehr schön zentral im südlichen Schwarzwald, sodass Tagesausflüge sowohl nach Freiburg zum Feldberg oder auch nach Straßburg gut machbar sind.

Erholung pur
Toller Bauernhof mit offenen und netten Betreibern. Vor allem das Kind hat es genossen, direkt im Stall dabei sein zu können. Die beiden Wohnungen sind groß, hell, sehr sauber und bieten alles, was man braucht. Auch der Hofladen, der eigens produzierte Käse oder das selbstgebackene Brot runden das Packet ab. Wir kommen wieder.

Schöner Aufenthalt, nette Menschen und schöne Umgebung
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und schöne und interessante Erfahrungen und Erlebnisse gehabt, z. B. Melken. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett. Die Lebensmittel aus dem Hofladen waren sehr gut. Bei jeder Wetterlage gibt es in Elzach und Umgebung viele Möglichkeiten, etwas Schönes zu unternehmen, schöne Wanderungen, Besuch im Zoo, Cafe Märchengarten in Simonswald.
