10/10 Excellent

"The lady on reception named Michelle was very polite and helpful. I had stayed in a certain room the previous month and asked if I could be allocated the same room on this occasion. What i found different from other hotels was Michelle interacted in conversation, i was not treat as a booking but as a person, the room i previously had was available and was duly allocated to me. First impressions count as they say, oh and the room was clean and tidy by the way, i didn't use the bar as I was driving early doors the next day."

"Hotel building is a little neglected which is a bit of a shame and can do with a little money spent on it. After saying that the room was comfortable and clean and was ideal for one nights stay. The location is perfect for city centre and an added bonus was the parking was free. The breakfast was good with lots of choices. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, "

"Nice public rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff. Plenty of parking £10 for 24 hours and also some free parking on the road if you can get a space. Easy walking to the centre, railway station and cinema. Our classic room was generally good but let down by the bathroom which is dated and could do with refurbishing. Only shower gel provided so take your own toiletries and no bottle of water. Plenty tea and coffee and a couple of biscuits. Bed was comfortable"

"Lovely clean room, a few stains on the carpet, which was a shame, but overall a lovely stay and excellent spa. The highlight was the staff, who were friendly, helpful and professional. It seems the biggest complaint from people is the car park, which, according to the staff, is actually not owned by them but by the council, so it's nothing they can control the pricing of. Which, when the guy in front of me was complaining loudly to the reception staff about the price, seems not very fair."

"Beautiful room and good location- parking was a bit of a faff as I was told I was almost about to be blocked in with a bollard upon checking in - not the best of welcomes when I’m spending several hundred pounds for a room for the night. £15 parking charge was also steep given the price of a room (which was beautiful)"

Crown Hotel Harrogate

"Great location in the centre of Harrogate. My room was large and clean. Pillows were too hard, though. I had an issue with one of the beds and the gentleman on reception in the evening was very helpful and friendly. I had reserved a parking space (£15pn), which is a good job as it was full. Breakfast was very average. I would consider staying here again if the price was right."
