I am honored to be the first guest reviewer, seriously. The couple who owns this house put a lot of love into renovating it, which is quite apparent upon entry to the property. I can tell they want to keep the integrity of the property and don't want it to go to developers. This farm house was far more beautiful on the inside than I had expected, and had an old home feel the photos just cannot do justice of. We came for peace and quiet away from the city, and a yard for the children, and that is exactly what we got but more...
It felt great to cook in this kitchen and eat at the table in the dining room, overlooking only quiet trees and gusty nature. The hand made quilts, and the old wooden recliner were a sweet touch. All the snack, laundry, and paper product items the hosts provided were thoughtful and nice perks indeed.
The hosts were responsive and even eager to attend to any needs we had. We very much felt welcomed.
The house is decorated simply yet thoughtfully, which I admired and adored. The mattresses are firm, and there was a twin bed with a pull out mattress on the bottom that my children called dibs on immediately. There is a tiny upstairs porch like room that is lovely for stretching out on a yoga mat or sipping tea in the cocoon swing (or swinging your stuffy babies, I'll have you know).
There are a few pieces in the home and a small quiet town I'm eager to learn the history of, so maybe I'll have to come back and visit the best thing in Emlenton I've discovered so far... Thank you for sharing your home with my family.
