"The house is as stylish and capacious as the booking information suggests! We made full use of the cool indoor spaces and the pool during our stay at the height of a heatwave. Macqueville and the nearby villages are very quiet and we experienced the slightly unreliable hours of the village shop and restaurant. Booking there is essential. "Had a wonderful week in this beautiful property. It was so much more than we were hoping for. The house is tastefully decorated giving it a real homely feel along with French rustic charm, and was equipped with everything we needed. The Gite gave us even more space and equipment and is again beautifully decorated and maintained. The swimming pool is fantastic and was a real bonus in the hot weather. The shaded gazebo was also a lovely addition to the pool area. We used the large local supermarket and ate at home for 3 nights and found some great restaurants in the nearby villages to experience the local cuisine. The hosts obviously care about their guests experience and their property and we loved the welcome pack on our arrival. A great time was had by all. Thoroughly recommend. "
