"Very convenient location near the tube station. Felt safe at all times. Food options were within walking distance representing a variety of cuisines. Staff were very attentive and helpful. When an issue with climate control in our room came up it was fixed quickly. I would certainly return to this property. "

"Small room with tiny letter box sized window. Felt more like a tomb. Shower door didn’t close and every time someone flushed a toilet above us, the plumbing would gurgle, delightful. Hotel is just ok, good location, but tired. "

"Dated but very clean room. Had to ask for the air con to be switched on as the window didn’t open and the room was very hot, but maintenance arrived promptly. Breakfast very busy but was fine and efficiently run. Staff pleasant and helpful. Good value budget hotel for an overnight stay in a great location. "

"Basement room smelt musty or like moisture. Had to be changed rooms. Staff agreed it did smell. Moved to a new room. The room didn’t had any coffee cups. Also nowhere to put luggage, or anything really. The staff put towels on the bed and literally no where to put them other than the floor. Not well appointed. The staff were great though that’s the only saving grace. "

"Very clean property, very centrally located, next to Victoria station, several restaurants. The only issue we had was the a/c heat unit went out in our room. They offered us to change however we only had 2 nights left and it was a lot to move. So we chose to stay and they brought a fan. Definitely need adapters for plugs. Overall a nice place "

"Boutique hotel on a quiet road. Steeped in history and remains the last African American hotel in the state. Just hope they can beat off the developers. Spacious room and comfy beds."
