"I stayed in room 403 which overlooked the main street in town. The room was very spacious and clean. The room had ceilings taller than 8', a modern decor, microwave and coffee maker. The hotel dining room staff were very accommodating and friendly! I felt safe walking around and learning about the town. This is a small quiet town with limited shopping and dining. I had breakfast one day at Mcdonnell's, just down the block, and it was delicious - highly recommend it. Also, you can take a car ride on business Route 6 East and enjoy the countryside vistas. The town of Honesdale is just a short drive away and has a nice walkable downtown with a variety of shops and eateries. The only disappointment was that the TV did not function properly. I was hoping to watch a movie after dinner from the free streaming app services already downloaded but they were not working. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Antracite and would stay here again."

"The ambiance of the property and hotel is lovely. We were a bit put off at arriving an 1 1/2 early and being told without even asking what our names were or what room that it was not ready. We would have preferred them saying they don’t allow early access or charges us a pro rated amount for the room. The restaurant is very good and our waiter was wonderful. Outside of the initial interaction with the front desk, the time was wonderful "

"My husband and I stayed here for 1 night, wish we had stayed longer! Hotel was so much fun, most of the staff were friendly with the 1 exception in the 2nd floor bar. The bartender was rude and made an absolutely horrible drink (vodka was horrible), we tried to tell him but he wouldn't even look at us even though there was no one else there besides a co-worker of his. We wanted to go the the sports bar but never made it. The indoor pool was great and the lifeguard on duty was very friendly and informative! Can't wait to go back! We won't let 1 bad employee ruin this review - there is always 1 bad apple in the bunch..."

"We had the most amazing long weekend! Made great memories with our 7 year old daughter. She loved playing in the river and climbing trees. The camper was clean and stocked with all you could think of. The outdoor space was beyond what I expected. Also our Boston Terrier had a great time as well. We are looking forward to booking here again. "
