Decent house but no toiletries provided including toilet paper
The place was nice, but met the bare minimum. No toiletries, including toilet paper, were provided. The ice machine was not functional. However, the place was clean and had three decent size bedrooms.
Our experience was a good one. Communicated with the owners a couple of times and they were very gracious and quick to respond.
Our only suggestion is that it would be nice to have a dresser and more hangers in the closet, or at least a luggage rack so we wouldn't have to have our cloths on the floor.

It was okay
I would not personally stay in this property again, though that’s not to say it was the worst. A few things people need to know before going is that the driveway is ridiculously narrow with no way to turn around. The property is also on a busy road, so there is never a safe way to enter or exit the driveway. A few other things to note is that the listing says there is a hot tub, which it doesn’t have. The ice/water doesn’t work in the fridge, the oven buttons stick, so baking is near impossible, and the owner provides towels, but no washcloths, so know to pack that before arriving. On a positive note, the place was clean and spacious and has a very comfortable couch.
My family and I were attending a wedding in Oceanside and seeing other family in San Diego over a 5-day stay. The home was very accurately depicted in photos in the VRBO listing and very much as described. The host, Sahar, was very accommodating and helpful. For example, when we couldn't find coffee pods for the coffee maker in the home, Sahar had his property manager bring a Keurig so that we could have coffee in house each day. Another example was that he had all the carpets cleaned prior to our arrival and even sent us pictures of the cleaning being done. One thing we recommend to future guests is that they bring their own pillows if that's possible for them. Personally, I found the pillows fine, but when you can sleep on your pillow, it always makes the beds even more comfortable.
We also found the location of the house to be perfect for us. It's not more than 1.5 miles from State Highway 78 and close to many of the services anyone might need. Walmart Neighborhood Market is only 5 minutes away and Downtown Escondido is close as well. Proximity of a Catholic church was important to us and there are two within 10 minutes of the house.
All in all, I recommend Sahar as a VRBO host and this particular property if you're looking for a place in Escondido.
Terrible stay, blood stained blankets, poor communication from hosts
Car accident happened with another renter while backing out onto the busy road this property backs out to. The carpets were sticky and gross to walk on, the comforter had a blood stain on it, mold in the shower and the hosts were difficult to get a hold of when there was an issue getting back into the property. (This part is my fault) but out of habit I locked the dead bolt from inside because this place isn’t in the best neighborhood, but apparently this makes it so you can’t use the key pad to get back in. With that said, I had to text 6 times and make 6 phone calls before anyone answered me. After that they wanted me to pay them cash to be let back into the property where I had already checked into and all of my belongings were already inside. Very unprofessional!! Not to mention completely unhelpful while being locked outside in a bad neighborhood at night. I would have understood being billed, but demanding cash was weird. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Decent stay
Overall we had a good stay- just a few items of feedback we wanted to share.
There were no paper towels or dish towels in the kitchen. We had to purchase our own paper towels. Also in the bathrooms- each only had 1.5 small rolls of toilet paper. We had to purchase more of that as well.
We had 6 towels and 6 guests. Only 2 small wash cloths. No extras (a couple would have been nice)
Very tight driveway- we have an expedition and we had to pull our mirrors in to get to the back parking area. The garage was not big enough so if you have a large car keep this in mind. Also- the front driveway is shared and so maneuvering was tricky when the other van was there. It backs out onto a very busy street so we just had to do our best.
Master bedroom bed is very firm and the bathroom is small/tight. The Shower in master bathroom is clogged so it fills with water very fast and almost overflows. There weren’t towel racks in either bathroom.
The kitchen and living areas were very clean and open.
The Water pressure is low, especially when both showers are being used at the same time. The plumbing overall wasn’t great.
The ac blew out very cold during the night but struggled during the day.
There are Zero hangers in closets.
If a goal is to spend a lot of time in San Diego/downtown, Oceanside etc be aware it is a 40 min drive (not including traffic)
