Best of the riads we stayed in while visiting Morocco. We drove a vehicle and parking was easy in large lot nearby. Visit the desk and a fellow with cart will help move luggage for modest tip into the walls of city. Room was the romantic suite and well worth the minor upcharge. They offered to light the fireplace, but we didn’t use it. There was a hot tub near the room that we took advantage of after a lot of walking. The hot tub was great during our January visit. Bed was comfy, towels soft, lots of bath products. This riad room had a tv (many don’t) which was nice to watch a little something while relaxing in bed. This was the only riad we stayed with a tv - didnt miss it elsewhere. Breakfast was also the best we experienced at any riad in Morocco. Good fruit, eggs, toasts, etc. I highly recommend staying here when in essaouira. If I am ever back, then I will not hesitate to stay here again. For questions on parking. The fee is like 30 or 50 DH per day, but they will hassle you for more. I just paid them versus risking less care for the security of my rental vehicle. You will get a receipt to display on dash and have coming and going privileges.

Our stay at Riad Chbanate was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and every suggestion they made for restaurants and other services were spot on. The riad was really peaceful, clean and comfortable, our room was nice, and the breakfast was great. Highly recommended, hopefully we'll get a chance to visit again.

Wonderful Riad!

We enjoyed 3 nights at this beautiful riad, they were so welcoming and kind. We had a light dinner the first night as we were tired from our drive. They were happy to accommodate us and the food was delicious. We had the panoramic room that had a lot of stairs to get to it but the views and privacy were great. We would recommend this place when staying in Essaouira.

A Riad to explore the town from

Perfect location to explore the town. Beautiful clean Riad with an inhouse restaurant. The Riad is nicely restored and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We had a large upper story room, which had all required amenities and like all Riads had a lots of steps to the room. Cannot find any faults from.our stay.

Coastal town Great Riad

This is a lovely riad within the walls of the old medina. So expect to find your way from the roadside to the front door. Very helpful staff and lovely breakfasts. We will come back if we are in the city again.

Perfect stay

Riad Chbanate is a beautiful traditional Moroccan style boutique hotel in the medina. It is a short walk to the centre where you will find plenty of restaurants and shops, including the souks. The riad is very clean, comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped with robes, slippers, toiletries, water, coffee machine and air con. Breakfast was delicious, with home cooked pastries and freshly squeezed orange juice. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was home cooked to order. Again it was delicious as well as beautifully prepared and presented. Overall we would highly recommend Riad Chbanate for your stay in Essaouira.

Lovely stay

A great Riad for a short stay in Essaouira. The.open fire was lovely for a chilly January and the staff were also very warm and helpful. Only a few minutes walk from the taxi dropoff too.

This riad is amazing. Great staff, great breakfast, great room, great turtle! I'm hooked on the argan soap and that shower is my favorite shower in the world. Can't wait to go back will definitely be staying here.
