"Perfect location in city center. Parking was "just off site" but VERY convenient. Breakfast was simple and included on rate, but great and in beautiful restaurant. Room was fantastic, even when my view was not overlooking the square. Wonderful choice for your stay "

"The breakfast selection was excellent and the service was wonderful. The hotel itself looked old and needing paint updates from the outside but once inside it was well kept, clean, noticeably updated and nicely decorated. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. I’d like to note that seniors might find the bath tub a bit high to step into in order to shower. Also it isn’t easy to locate despite the huge frontal area of the hotel. The entrance is beyond the back of the building on the far right tucked in on the left. If you don’t speak Portuguese and ask around where to go it might be challenging to locate. We found the front store owners and locals very friendly and happy to assist with directions. Our stay was memorable and our attendant at the desk was incredibly helpful, providing us with a map and instructions. The old area of Guimaraes is definitely worth exploring and Hotel Toural is the perfect location for the area."

"Carlos....Carlos...Carlos....a fabulous host!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Guimaraes. Staying at Dom Jose was perfect...location, access to the garden area in the back, breakfast in the morning and oh did I mention Carlos. He was incredibly helpful with information about the city, restaurants, etc. We did have two rooms...one had a very spacious bathroom, the other was more of a closet so ask for the room with the big bath! "

"I had a very pleasant stay here during my trip to Portugal. The space was very clean, comfortable, and felt safe throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the amenities provided — there was a dishwasher and a washing machine with laundry pods available, which was incredibly convenient because I was able to do my laundry during my trip. The kitchen also had plates, glasses, and pots available for use. The only small downside was that there were no utensils, but this was a very minor issue compared to everything else the place offered. It was also in walking distance to a lot of places. Overall, the apartment was well maintained, good value for the money, and truly felt like a home away from home. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily stay again."

"The stay was really good. I was born in Guimarães so i know the area. The location was really good, right in the heart of the city. The apartment was really nice, with everything you need to jave a good thime and the AC was a must. The parking of the city is not ideal but not that bad neither and if you dont have a car or dont need the car too often, you can't find a better location to be in. Close to everything.... shopping, amusement areas, historic places, restaurants, night life... really good. Also, the property manager was really helpful and polite. Would definitely stay in again and recommend. "
