"Beautiful property. We have stayed here before. Well located. Nice breakfast. Terrible omelets. Overcooked. Good amenities. The only bad thing is bathroom lighting. It is WAY to dark over mirror. The hand mirror did not light up. They need shower mats as shower is very slippery!"

"A perfect stay from start to finish. The front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. There was plenty of room to relax. We had wine in the evening at the bar, which was lovely, and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the morning. Everything was fresh and plenty. The service was so friendly it was a wonderful way to start the day. I truly hope to return again."

"Carlos....Carlos...Carlos....a fabulous host!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Guimaraes. Staying at Dom Jose was perfect...location, access to the garden area in the back, breakfast in the morning and oh did I mention Carlos. He was incredibly helpful with information about the city, restaurants, etc. We did have two rooms...one had a very spacious bathroom, the other was more of a closet so ask for the room with the big bath! "

"I had a very pleasant stay here during my trip to Portugal. The space was very clean, comfortable, and felt safe throughout my stay. I especially appreciated the amenities provided — there was a dishwasher and a washing machine with laundry pods available, which was incredibly convenient because I was able to do my laundry during my trip. The kitchen also had plates, glasses, and pots available for use. The only small downside was that there were no utensils, but this was a very minor issue compared to everything else the place offered. It was also in walking distance to a lot of places. Overall, the apartment was well maintained, good value for the money, and truly felt like a home away from home. I really enjoyed my time here and would happily stay again."

"This is a gem ….we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The included breakfast was amazing. The back garden was a delight and a respite to a busy day of sightseeing. The staff were fabulous especially our dear host whose positive attitude and bubbly personality made our stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property."
