This cabin was beautiful and in a great location. Walking distance to town, yet far enough away to feel secluded. The views were great and we saw deer and elk everyday wondering around the property. We enjoyed watching the birds feed from the bird house on the porch. This cabin is very close to the park entrance and within walking distance of grocery, restaurants and shopping, there is even a Starbucks within walking distance, which was a nice afternoon treat after hiking in the cooler elevations.
The cabin was clean and very nicely decorated, with plenty of space for my family to spread out and have their own privacy when needed.
Some trails that we would recommend are - Bear lake trailhead, which led to Nymph, Dream and Emerald Lakes as well as Alberta Falls. This entire hike was amazing. We also enjoyed Andrew's Glacier, we actually saw snow as we neared the top of the glacier. We loved the hike to Blue Lake, it was a tough hike but worth the effort. We saw Moose, Pika and Marmots on this hike, as well as several beautiful lakes and streams.
We also hiked Alberta Glacier, which was a beautiful hike. Again, the weather was chilly toward the top, but well worth the hike.
You cannot appreciate the Rocky Mountains and the surrounding parks unless you adventure out. The best views are seen from trails. Make sure you hike. :) The cabin was always a restful place to return to after a long day of exploring.
We would recommend this cabin for your trip.
