"We had arrived in Paris after a 10-hour transatlantic flight, taken the TGV to Lyon, and driven our rental car to St. Albans. We planned to stay two nights to recuperate from jet lag. St. Albans is filled with narrow streets that seem to have more traffic than you would expect in a small town. "The apartment, with it's lovely garden was just a few minutes walk from the top of the St. Just funicular. Very easy to get away from the old town to relax. Philippe, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. The apartment was very well appointed and comfortable. Be sure to go to Grain des Sucres patisserie nearby, if you stay here!
